These are really great refrigerator or freezer child locks but also work well to keep a freezer or refrigerator door tightly closed! On our garage, outdoor refrigerator freezer, every time we would shut the bottom refrigerator door, the freezer door would slightly open and then close...most of the time. However, if there were items that were a little close to the freezer door, it didn't always close fully. Hello ice crystals and soft ice cream! By installing this "child lock" that is no longer an issue. It is easy to install and the adhesive pads are 3M and have been holding very well after a few weeks. If there are any issues, I will repost. These are very sturdy and easy to open for an adult, but not for a kid (just in case you want to use them for their intended purpose...lol.) They might also make great locks for a busted ice chest latch. Get imaginative! Tip: I think these would work better on a refrigerator/freezer with top and bottom swing out doors (ie not a side-by-side). It could work on a side-by-side, but you would have to put these on the very top of the refrigerator doors and they might be less easy to manipulate and open.

I still can't believe this is still stuck to my fridge. I expected it to fall off by now. Busy home with multiple family using fridge many times a day. It's still holding strong. Easy to install and easier to use. Works do well I recommend to anyone who has a dog that learned to open the fridge. Fit perfect any older fridge. Or modern one. Designed well and quite genius for the purpose.

Worked as intended to keep top freezer door shut when bumped by heavy frozen food. Very easy to install and use.

I purchased this for my fridge and freezer and I almost want to get more for my cabinets! I really like the easy locking mechanism. I appreciate that they are versatile and fit a lot of different types of doors, not just fridges. They are VERY sturdy; I keep forgetting when I have them locked and they DO NOT come off when I yank on the fridge doors! I do wish they came in black, but you really don't see them cause they are on the side of my fridge - otherwise, the design is simple and they're not eyesores like the belts are. I have had so many issues with Safety 1st fridge locks and they ALL break if you even try to open it too hard, but not these!

Overall this is a great concept. It's super easy to install, and the plastic is durable. However, it requires all the adults in the house to be very aware that they have to unlock first pull second. A strong toddler could probably pull it open. Within the first week we had them an adult forgot and the adhesive gave way. I used Velcro command strips to fix the piece that goes on the fridge. This is way less secure for a child. We bought this because our doors weren't staying closed, and for that they are great. It didn't matter that adults would forget it was on there because we could just re Velcro and it still worked great at keeping the door closed.

Works perfectly. Should have bought this years ago. Would have kept that freezer door from accidentally being kept open when we thought it was closed.

Inexpensive solution! My fridge broke and I adopted an older one that was having trouble staying closed. I needed a latch to make sure the fridge didn't open up and spoil all the food. The adhesive on this is really good, the hinge works well, and the little handle to slide back so that it opens is easy to use with one hand. A toddler might be able to figure this out, but not a baby. And I was able to stick it up high enough on my fridge that it would have been out of reach for a kid.

This is toddler proof! Which is almost impossible now days. The one thing I love the most it’s that it’s very easy to install no how to attach this for dummies needed. The material isn’t rigid is smooth and rigid on the inner lock to make sure that in the middle of the night you know where the lock is. It is universal, I love it because my sippy cup savage would get into everything. We actually used the second one for cabinets which I love better than the zip tie ones easier for me atleast.

A simple and effective child safety lock. It keeps my little one out of the fridge while still being convenient for adults. Strong adhesive and good build quality.
