Handy pouches, quickly absorbed moisture in a storage box.
I wanted these to help keep some 3d printer filament dry. I have a large plastic storage bin with an airtight lid, and I had been using a plate full of little silica gel packets, and I was getting annoyed at them getting loose in the container and then having to round them up to 'regenerate' them in the oven. One of these seems like it has more dessicant in it than all of my little pouches put together, and now I just have two things to chase around and bake. Sure enough, within an hour of putting them in my container, the humidity had dropped under 20%. And I can see at a glance if it is time to bake them dry again. I'm very happy with these pouches.

Pretty decent.
These rechargeable desiccant bags have been fairly effective for maintaining a dry environment in my gun safe. The silica gel inside effectively absorbs moisture, keeping my firearms and accessories safe from rust and corrosion. Or at least hopefully that's the case. While the charging these takes a bit longer than expected, I found a quick and efficient solution: heating them in the microwave on medium power for a few minutes. This method has worked wonders for reviving their moisture-absorbing capabilities. I guess you can put them in the oven or leave them out in the sun, but I just want the moisture evaporated quickly. After placing the bags in my gun safe, I noticed a decent drop in humidity within the first couple of days. The reduction of about 5% has given me peace of mind knowing that my firearms are protected from the damaging effects of moisture. Granted I did recharge my plug-in dehumidifiers at the same time so I'll need to keep an eye on the moisture reading to see if it goes below where I could get it with just the old packs.Overall, I feel confident recommending these rechargeable desiccant bags to anyone looking to maintain a dry and safe storage environment. I'm not sure the two bags by themselves would be enough for a large gun safe, but in tandem with my two other rechargeable plug-in packs, this seems to be the solution to keep the moisture down for me.

Work well for in the car
Nothing super special about what these are for. They are filled with silica beads that help absorb moisture. I keep one of these in my car on the dashboard as it helps keep inside moisture down especially during the winter and cooler months so ice doesn't form on the inside. When you go to recharge them be careful they come out of the microwave very very very hot, Do not heat them up to recharge them on anything that is not heat resistant and microwave safe. I suggest using tongs or a heat mitt when pulling it out to let it cool back down.Otherwise these are great. Toss one wherever you need to keep humidity down

Great to dry out my car
When my Subaru decided to drain rain water into the floor, it took ages to get the water out even with a powerful wet vac. Letting it air dry the rest of the way led to musty smells and fogging on the inside of the windows. After a week of having these in the car, there is a massive difference. The musty smell was gone overnight. The fogging is getting less and less.Really good to see the instructions for use right on the bag. No guesswork for when it comes time to dry them out and have them ready for another round.Great value. Simple solution for a nasty problem. Highly recommended!

Great for the RV
Keeping moisture out of the RV is important. I like using these as they are not damaged by the vibration and bouncing when the RV is in motion. Also I can recharge them and use them again and again. I have used the Dehumidifier bags and other products, but they crack or spill if you forget to secure them before moving the RV. No worries with this product as it can bounce around and still be fine.

Poor directions destroyed the product
I read the directions on the product carefully and put 1 in the microwave for 6 minutes. The bag completely melted and fell apart and had burned silica beads. I made the mistake of not being in the room. There were no instructions included in the package. My mistake was reading the instructions on the product. Here's what the product says and what I think they meant by each one...."Recharge when blue dot turns light blue" - Actually what they mean is that it needs to be recharged when it is PINK, which is saturated and then, after microwaving, it will turn light blue and can absorb moisture again. Do NOT microwave it when it is light blue!!!"will be hot" - follow the instructions on the product and it'll be melted!"6 min" with a picture of a clock - Put your microwave to XX% power and heat for 3 minutes per side."Setting 8" with a picture of a microwave - good luck figuring out the power level. The product says setting 8 and the amazon page says "Power 1-2". My microwave doesn't have any of these settings. It has a percentage of total power and I think setting 8 = defrost chicken.

okay
I got the 200g Rechargeable Desiccant Bags hoping to keep my storage areas dry, but I’m a bit underwhelmed. Despite multiple attempts to recharge them, I haven’t been able to get the moisture level down to 0%. They do seem to help reduce humidity somewhat, but not as effectively as I had hoped. The concept is great, but I expected better performance for moisture control. Overall, they’re decent, but I might look for a more effective solution next time.
