TDK T78841 TAC4525 Dual Charging Alarm Clock Radio Speaker Dock System For iPod & iPhone 3G/3GS/4/4S iPod Touch & Nano

Not only did the Alarm arrive prior to the due date, but it was very simple to set up, and the sound is fantastic. Only one word of caution, depending on what release of iPod you have. I downloaded the app from iTunes and synced with iPod, but when I connected to the alarm found that i needed an older release. That, however, was no problem. The device simply located the correct app and installed. No hesitation in highly recommending this alarm dock. Quality all the way. Nothing less than you would expect from TDK.***Update to above review. Initially I had given this item 5 stars but reduced it to two since after only 8 months or so the volume control has stuck and no longer goes up or down. No amount of effort for me has changed this. I've stopped using it and it is en route to the local recycling centre.

.. as a basic alarm/charging station for my iPhone 4S I'd say it's functional. Build quality of the unit is good and sound is good for it's size - don't expect B&W Zeppelin quality - but at moderate sound levels (it's an alarm clock, not a boom box), it's listenable..However.. the app TDK recommend you download to control it is useless!! A complete waste of time. It doesn't work. At all. As a workaround, though, you can still programme the unit directly to wake you with either an iPhone as a sound source or the on-board radio. Alternatively you can set the iPhone's own alarm, or one of many alarm apps available through the AppStore, and it will work through the unit, so you don't necessarily need the TDK app - which is perhaps as well, given that it's crap!The unit is also a bit too loud for my liking when the alarm goes off, as for some reason best known to TDK, it will not allow you to lower the volume below a certain level when setting the alarm; i.e. 10 is max volume and it won't let you set it lower than 5; even though if you're just listening to your iPhone through it, you can take it all the way down to zero..?At the price I paid (£23.99) it will do me for now, though because the app is unlikely to be updated (I think this is an end of line product) and the unit is a bit too loud for me as an alarm, I can't really recommend it. I'll probably get a better unit to use as an alarm and this will end up in the kitchen, as it's not bad as a sound dock for small spaces..

i had a natural sounds alarm clock and after 20 yrs it stopped working. looked at the prices and reviews for newer models and wasnt impressed, so decided on this as i could use my ipod to play the sounds. great product, good sound a little difficult to find the alarm off button in the dark, but still pleased with it

The first one didn't switch on. It was replaced quickly. The second one works find. The sound quality is great for £24.99. I managed to get my iPhone docked even in the case which is good. Setting the alarm is a bit tricky, you have to remember to "sync" the alarm on the app so that it changes the alarm on the station.

This Dock is great, really has a good sound quality BUT for bedside use is simply too loud! The lowest volume setting on 1 is still quite loud, I use it to listen to music or Audiobooks to help me sleep - doesn't work. Would be ideal in the rest of the house; kitchen, living room etc.

This is the best clock radio alarm I have had. The clock doesn't light up the whole room (unless you want it to) but the volume of the radio/ipod in the morning is great as it starts low and builds so you don't get the fright of your life.Lent to my flatmate whilst I was on holiday and she is now purchasing one. Her comments was "you are not having it back it's fab".Buy one now!

This item is more impressive than I expected. It interacts well with the iphone, including synchronising time. iphone music files play well and the sound quality is very acceptable. Minor gripe is the lowest volume setting is a little too loud for night-time listening.

double alarm + radio + iPod connection + FM radio + aux in , excellent unit great for charging variety of devices and playback crisp clear sound has reasonable volume level although is obviously not going to burst your eardrums as is small unit roughly 5 times the size of an iPod. Well pleased so far had it for 8 months probably buy TDK Bluetooth speaker now after seeing / hearing the quality of this.
