THE MISANDRISTS refers to a secret cell of feminist terrorists that is planning to liberate women, overthrow the patriarchy, and usher in a new female world order. The group is led by Big Mother (Susanne Sachsse), who operates a school for wayward girls in the countryside as a front for a radical terroristic cell. When a young man, a radical leftist, who is running from the police, happens upon this remote female stronghold, one of the girls takes pity on him and hides him in the basement. His presence eventually disrupts the household and reveals a number of unexpected secrets, as the film moves towards its climax: the revelation of a new style of lesbian porn that is to be used as both propaganda tool and calling card for their new brand of female revolution.

I bought this film on the recommendation of someone on a video review site and what a waste of money this is. very poorly acted, cast who look like porn star rejects, totally confusing plot.it's really not worth telling you the details of the film to be honest. All I will say is save your money and time!

Funny, political, and frank: a film by Bruce La Bruce. A radical counter-violent feminist movement will stop at nothing to advance their agenda. A loose remake of The Beguiled (1971) sees a young man held prisoner in the revolutionary female-only house. It's also a love story!! #Downwiththepatriarchy

“1999: Somewhere in Ger(wo)many”. Bruce LaBruce is back! There’s clear references here to Sofia Coppola’s ‘The Beguiled’ – the wounded soldier looking for shelter and eventually disrupting The Female Liberation Army – but also to ‘The Crying Game’. I absolutely loved the 70’s Eurotrash cheesy aesthetic’s. Contact with males is strictly forbidden by, yes, the Big Mother on HERstory. #Downwiththepatriarchy
