Catskill Craftsmen Cuisine Cart Deluxe

It looks beautiful and I hope it will last.Shipped fast. Very heavy. Very heavy for solid wood, I thought, and SURPRISE-- bigger parts are particle board!!! Shelves are plywood....I was very disappointed. I paid for solid wood. I knew I had to put this thing together but it did take awhile, the instructions could have been better, and looked gorgeous after it was done.After about a week, I couldn't get the drawer to shut. Upon inspection, the screws that hold the back of the drawer to the side of the drawer had popped out. (stripped out of holes) So, by reaching inside and up through the cabinet was able to tighten without taking whole cart apart.The next day, SURPRISE!! The screws had worked their way out again so now I had a drawer in 3 pieces. Not wanting to take the whole cart apart, I decided to add corner brackets to each corner from inside the drawer in the back. It's not the prettiest solution but so far is working.For what it is, and the amount of work to put together and with the drawer falling apart so soon, I would say this item is way overpriced. Maybe $99 would be a good price. I paid $153.89 at Amazon.

This is a very nice little cart. There is only one thing that I think could be improved, which is that the design for assembly is built in a couple of spots for a child's hands. There is a hole and you have to put a screw nut in the hole and screw the bolt into the screw, but there is no room to really get the nut into the hole and hold onto it. It is quite a trick, and there are about 4 of these things to deal with. Other than that the assembly took about an hour. The cart shelf is not moveable and is only good for very low things, like boxes of tea bags. The spot we have is small, so the cart is ideal in size for us. The wheels require a hammer to put the wheel base into the holes, but the instructions do not give that information. One they are tapped into the wood enough to grab on then the wheels fit in nicely and don't fall out when you turn the cart over. I really like this cart very much.

1/4 of this cart IS particle board.......figured for the price it would be solid wood, arrived with one board split right up the middle and a bottom edge of the drawer side panel where the dado is ripped off and floating around in the box. called the manufacturer and they are sending out replacements will write another review after I assemble it, Bill in Worcester, Mass.Received new parts from Catskill Craftsmen two days after I called them, assembled cart which was very easy.By the way all the holes lined up perfectly my wife and are very happy with the way it holds our new Breville Toaster oven perfect size for this application. I would recommend this product to anyone.I'm giving it four stars only because of the way the different woods used clash and some of the end grains are very dark after they are oiled. the pictures do not reflect this but in my opinion it adds a little character to the piece. Purchased for my daughter as a gift. She wanted something compact but functional. It had a great size and layout to meet that need. When it arrived assembly was relatively easy. I have built a lot of IKEA furniture and it is similar.Wood finish is decent; it looks nice in her kitchen. If you had time I think you could prep the surface and stain without issue.In general quality is good. I had one issue with a piece; the company promptly shipped a replacement for the damaged piece upon my request.Functionally no complaints. Sturdy enough drawer; I suggested to my daughter being careful fully extending if heavily weighted with contents. Doors have a nice solid close without any alignment issues. When you lock the two casters, given its weight, it does not move around too much when using its top surface.Price I thought was good compared to other options for her.Hopefully it has durability - only time will tell that as this was recently purchased from Amazon and assembled.

My husband is very good at putting anything together but this one was a real project for him, he said the instructions were terrible, the cart is very sturdy and just what I was looking for. The wood was very dry and I’ve mineral oiled it several times and is getting better. I really like the cart

I liked the quality of the product. We use it to hold our juicer. It is just the right size for our kitchen.

I am SO pleased that I purchased this cabinet...it is beautiful and the perfect size. There was a previous comment about the difficulty in putting this together...I am a 68 year old female (and blonde) and I thought it was easy and the directions were on point!!!So happy with this product!!!

A great sturdy wood cabinet! It was relatively easy to put together, although you do have to extrapolate some of the directions. For example, you need washers on both top and bottom of the pivots for the cabinet doors. The instructions are illustrations, so the part about the nut was another part you have to figure out. You have to hold the nut in the hole for the screw to go in and hold. Otherwise, easy assembly. I will definitely look for other Catskill Craftsman cabinets to match this one.
