Perfect fit

Sadly this could have been a 4* to 5* product had it not been for the one I received being badly creased like it had been worn a few times.Normally a new product will have a few small creases where the material is folded but this dress was like it had been ruffled up and thrown to the floow a few times and left overnight on the floor. It really was that badly creased.Setting aside the creases the dress is a good quality one and the colour is good. It's got a good cut and stitch to it and come with a good length that is just above her ankles yet will be more like lower to mid calf for many others.The zip is metal so it is strong however one must be careful with the zip as it can easily snag on the material it is stitched to.Although I would like to recommend this dress for it's quality and good value I will leave it up to the reader to decide as the zip's minor potential issue is one thing but the item I received had either been previously worn and / or there was no care for the quality at the factory and somehow this one got badly creased prior to being packed. Regardless of which I can't rate this above the 3* even though it does deserve more.

I have a number of items from the Belle Poque range and have been really pleased with them all. This dress is no exception. It is really stylish and flattering, and gives the impression of a slimmer, hourglass figure. The fabric is subtly ruched at the waist and hip, thus helping to conceal any lumps and bumps, and the wavy neckline and slightly puffed shoulders are elegant and feminine.The material out of which the dress is made is slightly stretchy and, though pencil line, the dress is therefore comfortable to wear and easy to walk in (there is a modest slit at the back). The dress is not lined, but is nevertheless not at all see-through.I am size 12-14 and 5’6”, and the medium size fits perfectly, sitting just a little lower than mid-calf.The only reason I have deducted a star is because I’m not keen on the gold buttons at the end of each sleeve, though this is a matter of personal taste. In addition, the hem of the neckline isn’t well-finished and needs a few stitches or some hemming web to secure it. Otherwise, this is a great dress for the price: good quality and very attractive.
