Bought this as a kitchen printer in an ice cream/burger stand with a Square POS system. No configuration was required, working well.

Easy to install and working perfectly fine.

It is a good printer. And the price it’s more than reasonable. We use a lots of printers an lately we are ordering this since it’s compatible with Clover and windows

I hate being the one to leave a bad review on an item because of a defective unit, but we have had so many problems with not only the printer, but with Star themselves, that I figured it was warranted.I work as the PC tech at a ski resort with a restaurant upstairs. We recently updated all of our systems, and I replaced the kitchen printer. Since we had all Star receipt printers (work great), I figured I would get the Star kitchen printer over the Epson. The set up was very easy and painless, but the problems we had afterwards were intolerable. The printer would frequently disconnect from our network, making it so sometimes the hostess would place an order, and nothing would print back to the kitchen. As you can imagine, this resulted in food not being prepared when it should have, angry customers, and stressed out employees.I spent several hours on the phone with Star tech support trying to figure out if I did something wrong during the set up, but they said everything was installed correctly. After changing settings and trying the printer out for a couple more days, the same problems kept occurring. Eventually we decided it was a defective unit so we ordered another one. They sent us the USB printer, NOT the ethernet printer we obviously need for our restaurant. By then, we had gotten so fed up with Star I decided to return them both. When trying to return the malfunctioning ethernet printer, Amazon gave us the run around and sent us to Star, who sent us back to Amazon, who sent us to Star in a never ending paradox.I had enough at that point, and ordered the vastly superior Epson kitchen printer. I installed that in the exact same manner I did the Star, and we haven't had a problem since.If you need a kitchen printer, just go order the Epson one. The Star one may cause you problems and its just not worth the risk.

I think this may help with the confusion, it has to be plugged into the router (chord not included) but you can print over WIFI, I have 3 I pads using Square Register that we print from during lunch orders. Been about a month and we are really happy. It is noisy but does the job.

Happy, received printer on time. This printer replaced one that had done it's time. Install was quick and easy! Only used for a week so far, if it lasts as long as the other one I had I'll be even happier with this purchase!

this one is the right one because the description was clearer than the one had to return prior. Returned and was promptly shipped the this correct item which does exactly as thought the first one did
