What is not to love about this kit?!? It seriously has everything you need to be a sourdough pro. For starters, the instructions are simple yet thorough AND they are printed on durable paper so it can be on the kitchen counter without getting destroyed. It also tells you what to do or expect throughout the whole process and how to tell if your starter is ready! The jar is sturdy, large, and easy to read. It also comes with an awesome thermometer sticker so you understand what is happening to your yeasty goodness. The band that you put on the jar measures how much it rises and for some reason it brings me more joy than when I measure my kid’s growth each year. It also has a cool cloth cover with elastic edges that is easy to slip on and off. Finally, the tools are awesome. My favorite thing is the spatula. It is perfect for scraping the sides of the jar and is the perfect length. All in all, this is the perfect gift for anyone, including yourself. If you already have starter, it is great to use instead of the old mason jar because it not only works great but also looks good.

This wide-mouth glass jar is brilliantly designed for maintaining a sourdough culture. The graduation markings and temperature strip make tracking growth and activity foolproof. It provides plenty of room for aeration, and the included feeding guides and tools take all the guesswork out of the process.

This is a great sourdough starter kit OR for someone whose been making sourdough for years, like myself. It comes with everything you need, including measuring cups, a scraper, and even a scrubber that fits the jars nicely. I LOVE the super wide top for ease of stirring and for getting starter out of the jar. I’ve always used wide mouth mason jars and this is much better access. The heaviness of the jar is so nice. It doesn’t feel like I’m going crack it if I knock it too hard accidentally. The scraper that comes with it is probably my favorite part 😆. It scrapes every nook and cranny perfectly to get every bit you need. The breathable top is perfect and it looks nice sitting on my counter too. The stick on thermometer is handy as it will give you an idea of how quickly your starter is going to rise. I also really like the band on the outside to mark where my starter began so I can easily tell how much it has risen. One time I did have it sort of stretch out and it wouldn’t stay on the jar. I just washed it in the sink with my dishes and once it dried, it was good to go again and stayed in place. All the measurements on the side of the jar seem a little overkill for me because when feeding your starter it’s by weight, not cups or ML. Overall- this is well worth your money to buy and looks nice in the counter too.

Makes starting your sourdough easy. The app is a little confusing however everything that comes with the jar had made it very easy.

Very nice indeed. Has wonderful instructions, too. I have watched a few YouTube videos, but did not need to because this is such a nice set.

Love it!!! Wish I’d have bought 2. Will be getting another one!! Love the cleaning brush too that comes with it to help clean it. It’s awesome!! Very good quality of all items. Great value for the money. Highly recommend.

Overall the product is very good but what I will say is that the jar is noticeably smaller and harder to use the band and markers and the temperature gauge while useful isn't very necessary and I didn't find it very useful overall what was Nice about it is the little custom cover and stuff it makes it very aesthetic but otherwise the glass is really proof doesn't allow any air to go in or out and it was also very sturdy
