Wear alone or as the ideal mid-weight layering piece to enhance your external shell's thermal protection. The windproof soft shell exterior is highly breathable and superbly comfortable with brushed, poly-fleece lining.

A really nice light jacket but..
It is a nice light jacket but it has no armor, it is as others have noted a very close fitting jacket liner. I am a 32"/81cm waistline and trim, A medium fits very close and form fits. If worn by its self, it is rather cool in the hot weather and a life saver when I am stuck in line when going through the security gate at work. I always have to be aware though that it is not armored and while I will still give this a good review, I will knock it one star for lack of Armor.

Great MC jacket!
Awesome quality. The logo on sleeve is stitched so it won’t wear away in the wash. Fits me great, I usually wear a small, but I needed a Med for this jacket. The opening around the sleeves at the wrist are small so that gloves can fit over the jacket which I prefer. I wore this jacket in summer light rain and it kept me dry. I plan on wearing it all 4 seasons, and just adjust what I wear underneath according to the temperature. It is somewhat warm to wear in summer. The fabric breathes well but ventilation is slower, so I unzip the front for more air. I only wish it had air ports in the armpits or the back. Otherwise a great jacket! I also have to mention I wear an armored shirt underneath and the fit is still good.

Very Nice Jacket
Lightweight yet substantial enough as a windbreaker base layer. Breathable and comfortable to wear as a stand alone jacket as well with internal and external zippered pockets. Easy to pack as a layer for cool motorcycle mornings.

but just a wind resistant shell with a thin fleece like material lining
First off, I don't tend to give out five stars unless a product truly deserves it. And this jacket for what it is definitely deserves it. Its not a real cold weather jackect, but just a wind resistant shell with a thin fleece like material lining. Works great for cooler rides, I'd say down to maybe the mid 50 degrees with a long sleeve shirt and a sweater underneath for me. And the sleeves taper down pretty nice at the wrist with a little flees collar inside the wrist opening to block out more wind. They don't zip down or have Velcro adjustments on the wrist, but they are still fairly snug and work well. As for fit, I am 6 foot 3 inches tall and about 190 lbs, so tall and slender, I bought the large tall, and it fits my frame like a motorcycle jacket should. Enough room for a mid weight sweatshirt underneath without making it tight and constricting. It seems like it was designed as a slimmer fit, which worked perfect for me. I have long arms and always have trouble finding good gear that won't leave my wrist exposed when riding with my arms out on my Harley, and this jacket has long enough sleeves for me which is great. I found the large tall on Amazon for 50 dollars and would definitely recommend it at that price. I've seen it for 150 dollars and I think that would probably be too much. Overall I love it for what I spent, I'd probably pay 100 bucks for it now that I know it fits me well.

Great value and product
Great value at this price. Bought an XL for 200# 6' me. Use it under my MC Jacket an XXL since I lost my liner. Fits great with room underneath for 2 layers if needed and fits snugly inside the MC Jacket sleeves thereby cutting off the flow of gold air into the jacket. Riding below low 50's it is essential on a long trip.Well made just as described.

Versatile Liner/Jacket
The is the last iteration of the "Tech Liner" originally made for the TPG Rainier motorcycle jacket, and as such, almost does it's job very well. The down side to this version is that it is made more as a stand-alone lightweight jacket, without essential attachment features , specifically at the ends of the sleeves. That is, the original liners when they were provided with the $500 jacket had unobtrusive loop on either side of the sleeve. Those are used by snap loops to hold the sleeve in place. This later version results in the sleeve pulling out of the outer jacket sleeve, was NOT included with the updated Rainier, and was sold by itself with no reduction in the outer jacket price. On the other hand, though made by FirstGear, I have found it works very well with a number of other makers' jackets, particularly with mesh ones on chilly days.

Very Nice liner!
Rode for the first time with it and got caught in a down pour. Liner remained waterproof and its also very comfortable. It was delivered before the delivery date in perfect condition.
