As soon as I received the TOMAHAWK Welder/Generator I assembled the two tires and two lift handles, both the Ground Clamp & Electrode Holder (both are 10ft. long). Then I added the appropriate amount of 10w-30 oil and topped off the fuel tank.When I ordered this equipment my primary use was going to be the welder since I am a do-it-yourself person around the house plus auto/truck maintenance. Although, I do have some uses for the generator when working away from a power source. One of the projects that I had been planning is to repair an exhaust pipe leak on my pickup truck which requires welding. My preferred stick for jobs like this is a 6013 rod which is ideal. Even though I only needed to repair a few inches of pipe I chose to add a 6 inch 2.75 inch pipe which I split into two sections and then rewelded the seams on the tailpipe section.The TOMAHAWK Welder/Generator started right up and worked flawlessly for me. It delivered the necessary amperage that a 6013 rod requires for this particular type of job. Considering the costs of these types of repairs at your local muffler shop I was happy to be able to do it myself and at the save some money too.I have many more projects that require welding and based on what I've seen so far from the TOMAHAWK welder I am definitely going to use it and recommend it to anyone looking for a simple easy to use product like this.

Bought this welder generator and had hoped it would work a small air compressor. It didn't have enough power to do so. We have returned it. Otherwise it seemed to be a good piece of equipment.

Wished I have bought the bigger model but this little jewel welds nice it has its limits but for the price if i could give 10 stars it earned it way to go tomahawk update they need to add a weather proof cover

It’s alright I guess. I wish I would’ve spent a little extra and bought the 210 amp generator instead because this one doesn’t ha a dial to adjust the amps. It basically had a plug in outlet for your ground lead and 2 plug in outlets for your stinger, One ranges from 40-80 amps and the other is 80-120 so you can’t fine tune it. So if you’ve ever owned a Lincoln or a Miller this will definitely be a down grade if you’re like me and always demand total satisfaction. What I’ve done was if you’re welding on some thin low gauge tube steal like 1/2”x1/2” for a gate and your burning right through your material I recommend using the low amp setting and using a thicker rod like 1/8” and if your working on some thick material like a 3/4” dock plate then do the opposite. Use the high amp outlet 80-120 and if you’re having a problem arcking then use a smaller rod like 5/32” and might have to weld kinda fast. That’s really all you can do. I mean this machine can definitely lay a bead once you’ve made your adjustments perfect but for $999 you can’t really Bitch about having to take a couple extra steps. But since I’ve owned 2 other machines of superior quality then I think I deserve a couple minor complaints but don’t think I was too hard on the beaver last night. You’re mom didn’t think so either
