My son absolutely loves this bank. He took all his change and put it away right away. It’s perfect size for a 7 year old. It’s wood and acrylic so it’s durable. It’s super cute. It came with a small screw driver to open the face. When it’s full we’ll take it in to put it in his account.

On the downside, prying eyes might see an opportunity for nefarious activity (theft) – might be a good idea to hide the bank if untrustworthy people are around.While this won’t hold a ton of money, currency and coins are definitely less prevalent than in the recent past. The wood surfaces are sanded smooth enough but not silky - no splinters. In order to access the savings, the piggy must be “broken” into by unscrewing the small screws to the acrylic window, reducing the temptation to dip into the funds. However, the one design flaw with this product is that the coin slot is about ⅔ of an inch or 17mm wide – which is about 3-4x wider than what the width of a slot should be. The problem with a slot this big is that when the bank is turned upside down, it is too easy for the coins to be shaken out – which defeats the purpose of making it hard to get to the savings.If over long term use, my feelings change about this product, I will update this review. this product has started helping our kiddo learn the process of saving money. It's easy to put coins in and is also super cute.

This is really cute. It is made of sturdy materials. The side panels are clear and allow you to see what is inside. If you want to open the bank, you take the small screws out with an included screwdriver. I know that my son likes to open up his banks and count his money. This has been a problem with some banks that have an easy way to access the money. He can see what is in there and if needed it is easy to remove a side panel and then put it back together. I think the clear panels are a hard plastic. They are not glass. I think it is a great bank and my son likes it.
