The color of the mat was a mild blue & exactly what we required for our room. We use it as a foot mat next to the bed.The material is thick and fluffy, and good for water absorption - if you want to stand on it post a bath/shower.It might be a bit difficult to wash, but a smaller size (bought a 4x2 ft) should make that convenient.
