Great idea as a gift for a star wars fan! Our son is a massive star wars fan and he absolutely loves these pens! They are pretty big as pens go and he found it easy to grip them. The light up design is really fun and he did insist on having a little saber battle! They are great fun - probably a touch on the expensive side - but for licensed merchandise it's probably what you expect from Star Wars. Loses a star from me on the basis that it's probably a bit expensive.

These are quite a nice set of lightsaber pens, with the blue belonging to Luke Skywalker, and the red belonging to Darth Vader (who is featured on the packaging).They each include 3xAG3 batteries which have a paper tab to prevent them draining whilst in the pack - they're easily replaceable by just twisting the lightsaber's handle.The lights can be triggered by pressing a small button just above the handles, and have three effects; fast strobing, slow strobing, and static. The lights are quite bright and perfectly visible during the day but look best at night.The pen can be accessed by untwisting the small cap right at the bottom of the handle. I'm not sure if the ink can be replaced once used as there's no visible opening without removing the batteries and circuitry, so these are more for show rather than to actually use them.These would be a pretty awesome gift for a Star Wars fan, would recommend!

Eigentlich habe ich sie nur wegen der tollen Optik und der ungewöhnlichen Idee gekauft, weil ich als bekennender Nerd damit im Büro ständig lächeln muss, wenn ich sie sehe.Leider hat einer der Stifte nicht geschrieben, aber mit dem anderen bin ich zufrieden. Liegt nicht super ergonomisch in der Hand, aber ist halt auch ein Lichtschwert. Für spontane Officeduelle auf jeden Fall gut geeignet.
