You can feel the quality of this tamper from the time you pick up the box it is shipped in, and it doesn't disappoint when you open it either. The low-profile design is innovative and easy to use. I definitely prefer it to another spring-loaded tamper I have with a longer handle. And this thing is heavy. It feels great in the hand, and it works equally well.One problem I have had with other tampers is that coffee grounds often stick to them. This is undesirable when making more than one espresso, as it can affect the quality of the puck. The stainless steel tamper on this puck does not seem to have that problem. I generally always make two expressos at a time, and I've experienced no sticking whatsoever with this tamper. I have another spring-loaded tamper made of brass and steel that has that sticking problem.Lastly, the nonstick surface makes for easy cleanup. It is also a perfect fit for the 54mm portafilter in my Breville Barista Express.

This tamper is a great upgrade for my Breville machine to help improve the consistency of my expresso shots. The spring loaded mechanism ensure even tampering pressure, which i tend to have problem with the one came with my Breville Machine.It is very well build with a good weight to it. It fits perfectly into my 54mm Breville portafilter, which I had a hard time finding a spring load tamper that fit correctly. The spring action helped me avoid over tampering or under tempering with the correct amount of coffee ground in my portafilter. This gave me a much more consistent shots in my expresso shots.The aesthetic look on this tamper is just classic. Matt finished add such a classy look next to my expresso machine. Love that it came with a catch tray to sit on.

This tamper works great with my 54mm breville portafilter. It is very easy to use and comes with a bottom cover. It is easy to press down. Has made my espresso making a bit easier since I am a beginner barista.
