She's always rambling on about the benefits of eating one type of food over another, and so when I saw these I thought, "Ha! I'll give these a bash and tell her about them. Bet they'll suck though..." They don't. They really don't! Most of the stuff my sister 'introduces' me to, tastes like something I'd expect to find in the bottom of a budgie cage. These really are gorgeous! They are that good that I've stopped buying most potato-based crisps. (Now, if they produced a Marmite version, my conversion to these would be 100%! ) They still fur your teeth like cheese & onion crisps, but with a more subtle taste. The only way I can describe the flavour is that it is 'creamier' and more refined than potato-based snacks. And yes, I know how dumb that sounds. 🙂 The texture is is that of similarly produced snacks - where a foamed paste is cooked into a crisp-like format - they crunch, but instead of just melting away to nothing in your mouth, the crumbs remain slightly crunchy. I started buying these as an alternative to potato snacks and to 'one-up' my sister. Now I'm a convert.
