speakers are not reliable
I used these speakers for my desktop computer. Within days of plugging these in, the sound went in and out. It appears the wiring is faulty inside the speaker. Terrible buy.

Easy on the eyes and easy on the ears.
I didn't know they needed batteries which is fine I guess. But that should be made more obvious. They sound fine and look great. They are black like my desk so they just fade away. I like the cloth fronts on them which give them a retro look and feel. Pretty blue light on the left speaker too.

Simple but effective
Vastly improved the sound from my 10 year old Dell M6500. I wish it used AA cells instead of AAA as short battery life requires the use of rechargeable cells for economic reasons.

Produce good sound and loud sound.
We like to take a small set of speakers with us wherever we go so that we can connect our ipod to them and dance. This is the only type we have found that can actually produce a strong sound. We can dance with these in a large ballroom and hear the music just fine. And without distortion.
