Otis Technology Patriot Series Cleaning Kits (Select Your Model)

As many realize, the chamber on the 10/22 is too small to easily accept a traditional bore snake. This is the next best thing. First you pull the bronze brush from breech to muzzle (the brush is short enough to fit through the chamber) then the patches. They say you need their special patches but regular ones work too. Considering how simple it is it might be a bit overpriced but it works for me and I'll never use my traditional brass rod again.

Great kit for cleaning my .22lr rifles and pistols when I’m out shooting. I still keep my Dewey and BoreTech stuff for more precise cleaning at home!!!

Kit is reasonably fitted out but a little thin in terms of it's contents. Ironically the case is massive, it's clearly padded out to feel like a good value on the retail shelf. I normally don't care but it makes the case waaay to big for what's in it. This is a plastic sandwich bag amount of stuff.

I used this on my Winchester Model 190 22LR semi auto rifle, which has a limited breech. The attachment for running the patch through the bore entered the breech with no problem. However, the brush had some difficulty. I have to pull back on the charging handle as far as it could go every time in order to get the bore brush to clear the bolt as the lock open position on my rifle does not give enough room for the brush to easily enter the bore. It works well otherwise.

Before purchasing I saw a few reviews saying it did not work for 10/22’s, not sure if the didn’t purchase the correct kit or what. I have used this “limited breach” kit on both a ruger 10/22 and a ruger charger (same action). It works great for breach to muzzle cleaning and lubing. Had not used before, but am now a fan of the cleaning patches with the kit and ordered more since.

For the 17 cal it’s terrible the cable kinked very easily just after 2 uses and I can’t even fish it in anymore so don’t get the one with the plastic coated cable buy the Otis rip cord one much stiffer and doesn’t kink.

I keep it in my rifle bag as a back-up for emergences at the range. I have used it twice and it works well

Very pleased with this. I've a Ruger 10/22 and on the Ruger web site they recommend in a tech tips video using a kit that looks pretty identical to this as the flexible "rod" enables breech to muzzle cleaning more easily than a bore snake while not requiring complete removal of the barrel. Nice little kit and I've replaced a couple of the screw heads supplied with some Allen key bits so I have all I need in the one box to strip my rifle down.

Quality of the tool’s are fine. Case came cracked and the latch is just a bendy piece of plastic. Seem’s kinda pricey as well at $55.88 CAD. I’d give it 4.5 stars if I could.

As always Otis includes every tool you need for this calibre, just add cleaner and lube. Using this for .22 rifle.
