Ok, so funny story, we put the batteries in and waved our hands over it like idiots for a few minutes before we realized that there was a power switch on it. We came this close (you would just have to see my fingers) to returning it before we realized it. Once we found the power switch it works like a champ. We love not having to touch the can to throw things away, especially when cooking. The price was in line with other self-opening trash cans as well.

Best trash can ever. It’s a trash can, so it’s super easy to use. It’s a cylindrical object that holds a bag, so it’s SUPER functional. Looks sweet, was a fair price, and the lid…it closes! Exciting!

Just a trash can. Pretty cheap but looks good and solid. I wish it came with the C batteries that it needs though. I haven't tested the auto feature.

It's not too quick to open, especially when you're holding a coffee filter full of wet grounds!! Definitely will not buy this again.

It doesn't work after putting the battery s in the top is supposed to open automatically (hands free) waving your hand over. I'm gonna keep it because that doesn't matter to me it's for garbage raising the top by hand is ok and I need it right now.
