Playmates Toys "Data" Action Figure
This figure is absolutely one of the finest Playmates Toys has made for their Star Trek line. Great likeness, proportions & great articulation. However, WHY they decided to pull the plug on making any more Trek action figures is beyond me. After all these years, they finally hit the nail on the head & then discontinue any future development or release of Trek Figures. Too bad. These were a great effort & I would have collected more.Buy them now because they'll definitely go up in value in the future.

Playmates returns to form with new Star Trek line
The reviewer that gave two stars must have entirely too high expectations. As someone who collected the Playmates Star Trek figures of the 90s as a kid, this line is exactly what I hoped it would be and everything the 2009 line should have been. New figures are absolutely in scale with the original figures and have modern articulation. I wasn't crazy about the accessories and the weird handles they include but those popped out easy enough after I took the above picture. The current line Data is in the middle, while original line Data figures are on either side. Discovery figures scale well, too. Scale isn't perfect, but it also wasn't perfect in the original line.

Almost perfect
Looks just how I remember this one looking when I was a kid (nothing like the real Data lol). Packaging is bright and thick. My only grumble is that on the front right is a "35 years" logo which really breaks the lie that these are OG toys that I am trying to tell myself.I have no plans on opening this anytime soon, so I cant give too many details about the toy itself.
