I ordered this as I have always suspected the quality of the water that comes out of our taps. This is a very comprehensive testing kit that is also incredibly easy to use. It is packaged up neatly in one box which makes it easy to store. The main test strips are in the tube which is easy to reseal. The other tests, Bacteria, Nitrate, Nitrite and Sulphate are done using separate strips which are included in the kit. There is also a test tube that you fill with the water you're testing and a Pipette for the bacteria test.The kit also comes with very easy to understand instructions and the instructions for each test are also printed on the packet of each test.At £17, this kit represents excellent value for money. There are 125 test strips for the 16-in-1 test kit, 2 bacteria testing kits, 10 strips for the Nitrate & Nitrite kit and 10 strips for the Sulphate testing kit.On each part of the testing kit is an easy to understand results checking chart and the colours on the strip clearly match the right results so there's no second guessing when it comes to the results.It's easy to give this product 5-stars. It is good value for money, very easy to use and clearly well made. I would happily recommend this product to test your water and give yourself peace of mind.

These water testing strips from Silkot are very quick and easy to use and easy to read. You just dip the test strip into the water for two seconds and it’s ready to read after a further 15 seconds, although it is rather difficult to distinguish between the different colours for fluoride. The results are only valid for the first 30 seconds or so; the strips in my picture were taken after that time so they are a bit blurred as a consequence.You get 125 test strips for the main 16 parameters plus 10 strips each for sulphate and nitrate/nitrate as well as two tests for bacteria. Also included are a test tube and pipette, although you could just run the water into a clean, well-rinsed cup. There’s a very useful instruction leaflet which explains the significance of each of the test parameters. It’s very refreshing that it’s only written in English so there’s no wasted paper for other languages. I wanted this so that I could test our drinking water because a lot of our pipework is old. It’s also allows us to keep an eye on the levels of disinfectant and chlorine in the water, which can sometimes be unpleasantly high.

The lit includes a bottle of test strips (125 tests) for generic water quality, a couple of bacterial test pouches and a couple of pouches for testing nitrate levels. For convenience, there’s also a plastic test tube which is long enough to use with the test strips and a very cheap and cheerful pipette.The bacterial and nitrate tests speak for themselves. The test strips show levels of what I would call contaminants of interest, some of which can are beneficial such as zinc and copper, and some not so much such as fluoride, lead and mercury.The results from different water sources tested with were as expected, with water hardness and sodium chloride being the indicators I was looking for which I knew the levels before testing. As known and expected elements were clearly demonstrated, I have no reason to distrust the rest of the test patches on the strip.The price is reasonable when compared with similar test strips so if you have a need for comprehensive testing of your tap water then these are a good buy.
