Pickle Pong - Similar to Pickleball, Badminton and Tennis - Play Outdoors and Indoors

I don't play a ton of pickleball but I do enjoy it and I definitely love a good indoor-friendly action game. This pickle pong game checks all the boxes. The description says it's like pickleball, tennis and badminton and I'd say that's just about the perfect description. I don't love either of those games by itself but I really love pickle pong.The whole game comes in a nice carrying case. The main metal frame components have bungees running through the center so they go together like tent poles and make assembly a snap. Once the frame is assembled you just slide the net over, connect the corners and the lower tension bungees and it's ready to go. It sets up in less than 5 minutes once you know what you're doing. The comments are all well made. The birdies (shuttlecocks?) are the most fragile part as they're genuine feathers glued to the back of a rubber cork but we've been using the same one for a while and it it still works great (and you get a total of 4 in the package). When the feathers start to get ratty you just smooth them back out like the directions tell you to and we're back in business. This game is ideally played indoors or outdoors in very low wind and I love that you even get rope course markers to mark out the playing area. You even get a heavier rubber-like ball to use when it's windier but we found these to be very difficult to use, but maybe the more experienced players will have more luck.The game play is an absolute blast. I'm not good at pickleball at all but I still had a ton of fun playing against my friend that's an avid regular pickleball player. He's really good at pickleball and had a definite advantage but the game play is so different and unique that I was able to hold my own against him. The birdies do a surprisingly good job of slowing down no matter how hard you hit it, but that's the awesome thing about this game is just slamming it as hard as you can isn't always the best bet as you have to be really precise to get it through the center hole. Pickle pong has definitely earned a place in our regular game rotations and it's so great to have a game that we can legitimately set up inside the house or in the garage on a rainy day and still get some exercise in.Though the game is bit pricey ($159.99 at the time of this review) but it's well made with quality components and is an absolute blast for both kids and adults. In my opinion it's a great value for this much fun in a portable, indoor-friendly package. I would definitely recommend this one.

So far, I’ve only played this outdoors, but I can see how easily it could be played indoors as well. The pieces are durable and setup was simple, with the stakes keeping it firmly in place, even though it was windy outside. We tried using the birdies, but they didn’t work well due to the wind. I wasn’t a big fan of the soft paddle balls either, though; they’re so small and lightweight that they’re hard to keep track of and easy to lose, especially when playing outside. Because of that, we used regular pickle balls from a different set. That being said, I could definitely see how the birdies and paddle balls would be ideal for indoor use, as they don’t seem likely to damage items. As for playing, my husband, 16-year-old daughter, 10-year-old son and I had fun trying this out. It was definitely a challenge trying to hit the ball through the relatively small square in the middle of the net! We got a good workout in, and I look forward to breaking this out many more times in the future.

I was so excited when I received the product. However, when I open the box, it's rusty. It's not worth of the money. cheap material.

This is a super nice pickleball game set! Super thorough kit! Comes with all the correct pieces and Hardware up on delivery. Nothing was damaged and everything was just as expected! My husband was easily able to get everything set up and ready to go! It's super fun to be able to play from anywhere. This even comes with a good carrying case so you can bring all the pieces with you. Set up takes just a couple minutes tops so you can set it up at the park or anything! Everything is very high quality and very well made. Does not feel cheaper easily breakable at all. Definitely feels like the quality matches up with the price tag! Super nice and worth every penny for sure! Solid 10 out of 10

I feel like the name for this is just trying to capitalize on the growing pickleball trend. This is a lot more like badmitton mixed with that trampoline hoop game you'd find as a kid where you had to throw the basketball through the holes in between you and your opponent while bouncing up and down. Obviously no trampoline with this, but the point is to hit the ball/birdie through the hole in the net. If it hits the ground on your side or you miss the hole, you lose the point.Pretty simple concept, and can be fun with the right crowd. This doesn't feel like it has a ton of staying power if this kind of game isn't your thing, but if you tend to entertain a lot and can get different people involved it can have a much better life span.A bit overpriced for what it is. It does hold together well and is easy to put together, take apart, and travel with, so those are all nice features. The paddles and balls/birdies are pretty cheap, so you may want to upgrade to better equipment...just depends on how into this you are.Overall, it's an ok product. Probably a higher score if the price was more in line with what you get. It's a high three star/low four star product in my opinion.

This has turned out to be lots of fun. The setup is well made and seems like it should be durable. I have it set up in my two car garage, and I love it. No matter the weather or the temperature, we can play. It's a fun game with a good pace, and everyone who has visited and tried it out has liked it. I'm very satisfied knowing that I'll have this to play all winter. It's a good value for what you get.

While plenty of people live in places with lawns -- I live in New York City. Over the past couple of years, my family has come to really enjoy Pickelball! We always liked tennis and my husband was a badminton champ in high school. So, the point of all this -- actually finding a court in NYC is competitive and often pricey! SO, I live in a building with a big open roof. We assembled this and put it up on the roof and we just had our first game! It was a blast. It's clearly not pickelball nor tennis nor badminton -- but it's a fun new way to get out and moving! Fun for kids and adults!
