I love the game of cribbage, and have multiple boards, but I really liked the look of this one, and I wasn't disappointed.The Amazon page has lots of photos, but the thing to know is the board is well made. The pegs are metal and it has a resting spot for the cards and pegs - open it correctly and they won't all fall out - and everything fits well.It all folds up into itself and it comes with a canvas type bag to carry it around or keep it safe in storage. I really like this board, and I recommend it.

We play a lot of cribbage in our family and I’ve taught the game to friends and family of all ages. This is a great cribbage board to play on but especially nice for teaching new players because the track (three players possible) does the full pegging pattern from 0 points to 120 points. This makes it far easier to “see” how the game is progressing since the players travel from a single beginning point to a single end point (as opposed to smaller boards which go around the board twice with no markings to clue in newer players).The hole quality is good—the provided metal pegs (nine total, three colors) fit well into the holes without easily toppling out. The magnet holding the board closed is sufficiently strong to keep it closed (pegs and a full-sized deck of cards are stored inside in separate areas) during travel. The piano hinges joining the two halves are a little loose on our unit, meaning there’s a bit of horizontal play between the two halves when opened up, but it was nothing that ruined play, just a small wiggle. I appreciated how the graphics colors on the board track even coordinated well with the provided plastic-coated playing cards.The play instructions, unlike so many times with imported items, were easy to understand and accurate. There’s even a 365-day guarantee and the company offers free replacement for damaged or lost gamepieces. Wow! I’m impressed!

One never knows when buying a game online how exactly it will look and feel in person. Will it feel cheap? Are all the components quality? Were budget shortcuts made that make it a set you don't prefer? I wondered as my last travel set didn't have the look or feel I was after, it felt disposable.This set is gorgeous. The box it comes in is fancy enough to be presented as a gift. Inside there is also a cloth travel bag. The set has a nice weight to it. The cards inside shuffled nicely and had a bit of a grip texture on the backs which actually made them shuffle easier than regular, new playing cards. The pegs are metal and fit smoothly into the holes, and are well matched to each other.We're a gaming family, and this is a set we'll be using again and again. And should I have someone in mind to buy a game for, I'd pick this set.

I play a lot of cribbage so I am a bit picky about what I like in a cribbage board. This board functionally works and I really like that the cards and pegs store inside when folded, but there are some minor flaws that I don’t like: - The hinge on the back sticks down when folded open raising the center slightly off the table. It is not terribly noticeable when playing, but I worry it will scratch the surface it is sitting on and it feels like an oversight. - The pegs are solid metal and don’t feel cheap, but they are almost too chunky, especially when in adjacent holes. Also the slot holder on the back for the pegs doesn't have a cover so good luck not spilling them everywhere. - The board is indeed solid wood, but it is painted to completely cover the wood grain, so it looks a bit plasticky, and the lines do not match up between the two boards. Feels cheap.Overall, this would be an ok cribbage board for the right price. Its just not for me.

I think this is a great travel cribbage set. Being a senior citizen, it is really nice that the cards are in large font. They are very easy to read. The pegs are sturdy and easy to handle. The board folds and is held together by a magnet and the carrying bag keeps everything clean. We will definitely be taking this on our cruises. I did take off one star because the directions are worthless to you if you are new to the game of cribbage.
