I homeschooled my kids for many years. These books were always a high light of our day. Both my son and daughter enjoyed them so much (which could not be said of every subject and learning tool) and they learned a lot from them too. Such a simple, small thing to bring some joy to each day. My kids are almost grown now, but these little nature readers gave me some very sweet memories. If I had young ones again, I would definitely use these once more.

Great series of books.
These are excellent books. I use these as supplemental material for my homeschooled 10 year old. They have great information, but it doesn't get so in depth that it loses her attention. I like the comprehension questions after each chapter also and it gives me a way to test what she has learned.

A vivid book
What a vivid book! It's been a wonderful educational book for my son, as he's been learning about how the body works. But it's very factual and talks about blood in a way that can leave someone faint if they are sensitive to that. But I think that is good. Sometimes, we have to learn about the reality of life. He'll never forget these lessons. Highly recommend.

full of fascinating details, but a tad dry
This is a great way to learn minute details about nature - but I did have to assign it to my children as it hasn't been their favorite thing to read... but after they read they would beguile me with descriptions of spiders and beetles.

The book is FINE . . . I just thought it was the smaller size book, like all the other ones. It doesn't match what I already have, but the book is in perfect shape. Thank you!!

LOVED IT A GREAT SIMPLY INFORMATIVE READ.
I FELT LIKE I WAS IN EN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL, AND IN THE FRONT SEAT AT HARVARD. ITS A GREAT BOOK. ENJOYED READING IT THOROUGHLY.
