I could not put this book down. My husband kept saying, “You’re reading again?” All I could tell him was that this book was so good. It brought healing, deliverance, and so much insight. So timely! I wish this book was around 15-20 years ago. I so needed it in my life, but God knew this time would be better. Recommended reading!! Moving on to Steve Sampson’s “Confronting Jezebel!”♥️

While reading the book and the prayers God healed me, strengthened my inner man and renewed my mind on this particular area.I recommend this book and also Steve Sampson's book "Confronting Jezebel: Discerning And Defeating The Spirit Of Control" for breakthrough.God bless you!

My wife and I both began reading this book on the recommendation of another pastor in order to understand better some of the people we minister to.What started as a quest for information on others quickly became a mirror to our own self and the understanding that we had some things to change.It has also helped very much in how we are recognizing and interacting with those of the Ahab and Jezebel spirit.It will be a helpful resource for a very long time!

I found this book both confirming of beliefs I already had as well as a wealth of new information. One of the biggest insights for me was the description of how a passive/Ahab person can become passive-aggressive. I also came away thinking many of us can possess both Jezebel and Ahab characteristics and that particularly with respect to marriage, these characteristics can evolve in spouses over time.Steve's writing is straightforward, transparent and honest. He always comes back to the hope we have in Christ. I am very thankful Steve allows God to use him the way he does.

Steve Sampson has written a timely book, Discerning and Defeating the Ahab Spirit. There is much talk on the Spirit of Jezebel today, but not much mention of the Spirit of Ahab. As Jezebel represents control, manipulation, intimidation, shame, dominance, rebellion and witchcraft, Ahab represents passivity, unassertiveness, timidity, and conflict avoidance.Steve gives us traits found in aggressive (Jezebel) vs. passive (Ahab) people. He also looked at his own passivity in his life and what the bible had to say about Ahab-like personalities. Really, the names Jezebel and Ahab denote demonic influence and this has to be addressed. It's not just something to point out in a personality, ie; "You're like the impulsive Peter", or "You boys act like The Sons of Thunder." It is deeper than what you see on the surface. Steve's book is titled Discerning and Defeating the Ahab SPIRIT. A spirit is a real personality, an entity just as much as your neighbor or your co-worker.One thing I have noticed, Jezebel was a queen over Israel and her husband Ahab was a king over all of Israel as well. Either one of these spirits can influence an entire population or region. They will form groups with fear and seduction, jealousy and deception, hatred for God and arrogance, bullying and slander, defamation and witchcraft, and countless other demons, much like an organized army. Thank Father God for Jesus Christ, The Anointed One! This book is desperately needed for the very days we live in. One more item to note: Either the Jezebel spirit or the Ahab spirit can affect both males and females, much less a region.

If you are truly desiring to heal from abusive relationships, this is a must read. You will discover the part you played in your dysfunctional relationship (even it if the problems weren't your fault) how you can heal and stand up and live with dignity. You will come to understand the difference between Jezebel (aggressive, manipulative, controlling, crazy-making) and Ahab (passive, people-pleasing, fearful, enabling). You will gain great knowledge and learn how to build a foundation for your personal healing process. Get the book and keep it around throughout your healing process, as you will want to refer to it. This is very sound, Biblical teaching/counseling. All those who are or have been abused need to read this book.

I was extremley pleased with this book and it was the perfect complement to Confronting Jezebel, a book also written by Sampson. Not only was this book a joy to read but it was also painful because as I read, the truths contained in it began to confront parts of my personality that made me susceptable to controlling personalities. In addition to exposing the root and traits of passivity, it also addresses the Jezebel traits and shows that both personalities suffer from wounds and can both be demonically controlled. The revelation of this truth encouraged me to want to be delivered and to stop procrasting about confronting behavior in others that bothers me. I will no longer be a peace keeper but a peace maker. I highly recommend this book to all those who are tired of people taking advantage of them.

This book and Spirit here is a YOU HAVE TO READ IT after you learn and read on and about the Jezebel spirit because without this Ahab spirit,then the Jezebel Spirit can't and will not be able to work and operate the way jezebel would like to.. Men and women can have this ahab spirit and also Men and Women can have the Jezebel spirit,and so I ENCOURAGE FATHERS WHO ARE SERIOUS ABOUT THEIR WALK WITH CHRIST TO READ ON THE AHAB SPIRIT AND DEFINATELY THE JEZEBEL SPIRIT and ask God to give you revelation of who in your close family line has either or and who had went to their grave with it,so you know how and what to pray against!!

I believe God will speak to you through this book. He doesn't want you living in fear, passivity and suppression anymore. Forget the price and buy this in faith.

It gives a whole new perspective when you Otten feel A victim of situations or life. It helps you realize you have a Godgiven authority to be assertive in a loving way.
