Best smart lock ever. Compared to the cheaper one I had previously, which was super annoying, Yale comes through with a well designed lock. Things I like: Auto Unlock! ( Game changer works with Android and iPhone), one touch lock, actual buttons instead of touch screen - all features work great. Setup is also easy with very clear and well guided instructions.

I’ve gone through several less expensive locks and they all seem to break within a year or so. Decided to spend a little more for this one. So far it’s been great. It was easy to install, is high quality, and connects to my phone. I love the fingerprint recognition, and that I’m able to add all our family members. It looks and fits great in our standard door. It’s been functioning well since we installed it, and locks every time.

Bought in COSTCO the one with WiFi/Bluethooth w/o the physical key and one day the internet router got disconnected because of electricity; and the lock battery drained fast searching for the connection. So I sent it back and bought this one w/o the WiFi module ( you can optionally buy one and connect it) with the physical key and finger scanner cheaper than the other. Worked fantastic; the finger scanner is amazing and fast, you can input the code to open and finally if the battery drained: the physical key. All options in a single unit!! Win-win.

It’s a decent lock once installed. The challenge during installation were the 4 small screws for attaching the plates. These were not the correct screws, and I ended up using screws that were part of the old deadbolt being replaced. Selecting a code was easy, but when I wanted to change the code (my husband wanted a different set of numbers), there were no instructions on how to do that. There were instructions, however, on resetting the lock to factory settings, which wasn’t necessarily what I wanted to do. Finally, after installation, the fingerprint recognition feature worked…for 2 days. After the second day, it would no longer recognize my fingerprint. Nonetheless, typing the code still worked to unlock the door. The lock feels solid, and the app shows me the percent battery life and the status of the lock (locked vs unlocked). You can also control the lock via the app. Overall a decent lock if you don’t care about a functioning fingerprint feature. All that said, I need 2 more keyless locks but will be trying other brands that are less expensive.

I was very impressed at first, but everything is useless because of one faulty feature. "Passage mode" is a hypothetically useful feature to prevent the door locking when you don't want it to. You know what's way way way way way worse than that? When the door *unlocks* when you don't want it to. Every single time I go on a walk with my dog, there's a decent chance that this turns on on its own and I come back to an open door. Several times I've been lying in bed and heard the door unlocking itself, thinking there's an intruder. It's infuriating. Not once have I pressed the button that's supposed to turn it on, yet it activates several times a day. This could be fine if there was any way to turn the feature off from the app, or at least have some way on the lock of knowing if it was on, but there isn't. Why? Why not? In this current condition, this lock is worse than useless; it's a constant source of anxiety and frustration.

Once installed it works well……The Yale app and the booklet of written instructions were not very helpful. There was no audio on the app’s video which goes step by step for the install ion ( Suggest you go to You Tube and find the Yale lock installation - far superior). Also, while trying to use the app it asks you to use the QR CODE ON THE LOCK - there is no QR code there or in the written instructions. Next it asked me to input the serial number and the serial number on the lock itself and on the outside of the box (identical) were inputted and I was told it was invalid!!!! Called the Yale Support Center and they gave me a serial number to use and again it was invalid. Spent. 1 1/2 + hours getting to the point where I could enter my own code. Very frustrating and hopefully there will be no issues going forward.

Was looking for a smart lock that has finger print AND real buttons and this fit the bill perfectly, I didn't get the wifi version as I was hoping they would release the matter module soon, which is another great future as it allows upgrades as smart home systems improve. One thing to be aware of, which did not impact my review as amazon immediately replaced it, was that my first order was obviously used, so just ensure that all the parts are still sealed before installing.

Installation is doable for a homeowner and tech support is top notch

Amazon hace fraude con este producto, porque se tiene que instalar y configurar con una aplicación de Yale que solo se puede bajar en Estados Unidos y Canadá, pero no en México. Es de no creerse el pésimo servicio de Amazon.

No he podido configurarla, primero tuve que cambiar mi región a USA para descargar la app que necesita, pero la app de Yale access solo se puede configurar con un número telefónico de USA, me parece pésimo que la vendan en Mx si no es posible configurarla y poder usarla en todo su potencial.

No funciona en México, No deberían venderla. No se puede configurar si no estás en US

Si podría le daría 0 estrellas. La configuración no sirve vía la aplicación y si marcas al servicio atención a clientes nunca hay nadie. Prácticamente se vuelve una cerradura común y corriente al precio de una cerradura digital.
