The fit my Taurus
This fit my 2000 Ford Taurus LX Flex Fuel 3.0L 182cid V6 FLEX FI (2) OHV.It would have been easier to disassemble the vehicle around the pump, than to try to get to it any other way! Somewhere I read that you take the battery and battery box out to get to it, and you do, but you have to loosen and remove the bracket that is below it, and you have to remove the plastic panel under the vehicle (eyeball yours to see if its cracked (they get hung up on bumper stoppers) and that all the screws are there so you can address that before you take eveything apart.) that hides access to the pump. Then it still doesn't want to come out until you remove its bracket and work the pump out of the bracket and up and out of the engine compartment. The reverse is true to get the pump back in the bracket correctly so you can tighten the bracket to the car and the pump to the bracket again. While I was down there, there are two oil lines that connect to the block at that point. Tighten those while you have everything out and you can get to them. One of mine was leaking a while back and I could get to it with everything connected, but just barely, and I was able to tighten it "securely" this time.As I recall, I replaced the pump because I got three codes (we only had one at first), P1414, P0410, and PO411. I will save you all the technical info related to the codes, this is what I read someplace, "the AIR pump injects air into the exhaust system on cold startup. Basically, that's it. That's all it's for. It reduces startup emissions." My mechanic says it doesn't hurt anything it you don't fix the thing, but I read that it can freeze, in cold weather. My daughter reports that the light had not come back since I installed the pump.
