I have combination skin which can lean more oily or more dry depending on my cycle, and i use this on my chin when it gets very oily and it helps a lot. You really don't want to be putting this on dryer skin, hence why i use it just in the areas needed. I also use it during the hot summer months around the hair line which helps with excessive oil during the hot times and can be great if your make up is not lasting as long as it could be due to excess oil. If i'm wearing makeup i use this on my T zone (where i am oily) accompanied by other serums to the dryer parts of my face, i allow all that to sink in and then i add a silicone based primer over anything i want 'blurred' such as pores or blemishes. You certainly don't *need* primer like people might tell you, its personal preference. But do be aware, if the area you treat with this is normal/dry the area will become dry so if the oiliness is not excessive or you find you're getting flakey, maybe use another hydrating product under or over this.
