Great for students- durable quality.
I use this game with my young elementary students that have sensory, cognitive, and communication needs. It is durable and the game rules can be adapted for them. Also gave one to a student for home use:)

Expensive game but we used it as a 'chance' game at a Trunk or Treat
We used the game to let trick-or-treaters choose a hive, if there was a BEE under the hive, they got to choose from a pumpkin loaded with small gifts. We also had candy for every trick-or-treater but this was a 'fast' game that made it a little more fun and speculative. The game was expensive but I got it for the plastic hives which worked perfectly. I did buy some BEES that were black & yellow and easily identifiable as BEES.

A more dynamic, three-dimensional twist on Memory
Here is a board game accessible even to preschool-aged children, since no literacy or math skills are required. Players need to pay attention, however, and they need to try to remember and to keep track of where the various bees are as the game progresses, so older children and even adults have something to focus on. This isn't something you can do in the background while playing on your phone or checking back and forth on dinner. The nature of the game requires you to watch what's happening, as the play area is always in flux. The hives will be moving around, switching back and forth between the middle area and a player's possession, and back again, and they can even change hands from one player to another. The game is designed to play with six bees (red, yellow, blue, purple, green, and pink), each of which is concealed by its own hive. I would imagine that you could modify it, if desired, by eliminating one or two of the bees, and removing the cards of that color from the deck. This would mean that there are fewer moving parts to observe, which might enable even younger children to participate, or it might be a way of doing a couple practice rounds, just so that young players get used to the concept. Playing with only one opponent, rather than say, three, would also make the game easier. The more people participating, the more chaos will result, which may be desirable for older or more experienced players. Note that this isn't like CandyLand or Chutes and Ladders, where you progress along a path upon a board. This is more like a game of Memory crossed with a shell game. Normally speaking, you can't see the bees, which live inside their hives, although you will catch glimpses as the game progresses, so you need to be watching. Therefore this unusual game will reward patience, and attention, while exercising the memory. The instructions booklet is simple and understandable, and it explains the standard, color cards as well as the few specialty cards with their unique powers. It is also thorough, with rules for who goes first, what happens in the event of a tie, and so on. Actually, the quality of everything is very good. The bees and especially the hives are simple, one-piece components, but surprisingly detailed, and sturdy enough for little hands. (I will say that the bees are small, and could pose a choking hazard to babies or young toddlers, so you'll want to keep the game out of their reach.) The cards seem well-made, but I found the small, square shape a bit tricky to shuffle. A handy custom insert keeps the box neat and organized, and whatever you're looking for is always right there at your fingertips. In the end, I would describe this as an engaging, potentially challenging (but not overwhelming) game for children, which they could play with their siblings and friends, but which parents should be able to have some fun with, too. Even if you're a hardcore gamer, you can enjoy the fact that you're introducing your favorite pastime to your child, and you don't have to wait until they're ten or twelve to get started sharing those memories. Play doesn't depend on 'dumb luck' either, as is the case with many games for little ones, but on what the players bring to the table, so you'll be too busy watching and paying attention to the movement of the hives; you won't have time to roll your eyes in boredom, which is a definite plus.
