Hoover Velocity Evo Reach Bagless Upright Vacuum Cleaner, VE02, Pets, Powerful, Multi-Cyclonic, Long Cord/Hose - Red

The hoover was easy to assemble and no tools were needed. I had just got new carpets throughout in a light grey colour and had noticed my old hoover wasn't picking up very well. I was worried my new carpets would get ruined. Also because the old hoover was a cylinder one I was struggling with back pain. I bought this model because it was an upright one, good for picking up hair & the plug lead was longer than the other ones. There is a button to click for carpet or hard flooring but no way to adjust for thicker or thinner carpets. It is quite heavy to push over the new, thick carpet; It might be because mine is so new. The brush doesn't spin, however, this doesn't impact on the suction power. The first time I used it I was amazed at how much hair and dust it had collected. It may be a bit heavy but it does what is meant to do and it does it very well. I would highly recommend this model.

I was a bit apprehensive about this hoover given some of the reviews about the quality of plastic and the price but it's turned out to be a great machine and sturdy enough. I haven't had an upright vac for a while so it felt a bit heavier than I expected but I got used to that in a couple of days and find it pretty nippy. It has amazing suction power and for the first fortnight I was filling the bin every time - clearly picking up months of debris/cat hairs that my old vac had failed to pick up! The carpet setting is a tad noisy/growly but is a minor annoyance given the suction power. We live in a large Victorian terrace so the long length cord is great (N.B. no retraction system, has to be manually wound up.). It was a bit tricky to assemble everything and I had to look up youtube to make sure I was doing it right as some of the gadgets don't fit snuggly. It is a bit fiddly attaching the gadgets for stair cleaning but once done, it is easy to use. I'm a few weeks in now and delighted with it. Great value.

Overall we we're very pleased with this Hoover initially. It's made from the plastic that you know will crack if it falls onto a hard surface. You have to manually fit two rubber blades, one either side of the brushes. Had to take one off as it was virtually impossible to push as the suction was that great. The Eco mode is the brushes turn off if the m/c stands idle for about 20 seconds.A fault developed after 5 months with the Eco mode. The brushes started to turn off after about 3 seconds.Amazon we're very helpful and put me through to a Hoover engineer. After describing the fault he said return it to Amazon for a refund, which we did.

This is the second one of these Hoovers. he first one stopped working the second day I recfeived it, but it weas quickly replaced.The second one appears to work well, however the carpet brush stops working on and off when going over a carpet. I thought this only happens when you place the handle in the upright position.Will give a couple more days to see if it improves otherwise it going to be returned. Pity because everything else seem OK

This hoover is very heavy and awkward. The suction from the bottom of the hoover is poor and cannot cope with bits on laminate flooring. It cannot cope with pet hair. I have found that I have to keep unblocking the solid pipe from the side of the hoover to the collection drum. It makes a chugging noise when set to hoover carpets. I am going to approach the manufacturer to see if there is a fault somewhere. I am really disappointed and wish I had never chosen it.The suction from the attachment hose pipe and tools is very good, and that is what I have been having to use to clean my home.It is wearing me out. WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY!!

4.5 out of 5, a bit heavier than would be expected but apart from that cant fault it, depending on how performs over next few days weeks would be willing to up to 5 just being conservative with the 4.5

Brilliant brilliant brilliant but heavy for a lady.This is an incredible picker upper but lacks the ability to hoover, nozzle hoover nozzle etc. This is a hoover OR nozzle vacuum. If you want to vacuum and nozzle, get a different or ANOTHER vacuum to ‘nozzle’ with.

So powerful, thing my previous vaxx may have been broken for longer than i though.The suction can be so strong i'm unable to move the machine (physically disabled), able bodied partner has no trouble with it.The pet hair remove brush when fitted directly to the hose (no extension, instructions were vague) is absurdly good, cleared up the most manky cat tower that my beasties have spent the last two years coating, came away with enough fur to knit myself anoth four cats.The emptying mechanism whilst working fine for most waste doesn't work well for pet hair, so i personal had to take the other side of the dispenser and empty it from that end (its just a twist-lock, were the hepa filter is, but should be unnecessary in a model designed for pet hair cleaning)
