I Loved My Breville. Then My Laziness Evolved...
I bought the De’Longhi Magnifica Plus as a transition away from the Breville Barista Express, which I genuinely loved. Some enthusiasts would argue the Breville makes better espresso and honestly that may be true. It also required daily effort, frequent cleaning, and emotional availability. Eventually, my laziness reached its final form and I chose convenience without sacrificing quality. This machine heats up in about 30 seconds, makes strong, consistently great espresso, and gets used multiple times a day. The UI is incredibly simple. No fiddling, no rituals, no drama. Press a button, get excellent espresso. The milk frothing is smooth and reliable, and the cleaning effort is almost suspiciously low. It automatically rinses itself on startup and shutdown (just make sure the drip tray is in place). About once a week, I rinse the brew group under water and pop it back in. When it tells me to descale, I descale it. Total maintenance time is maybe 5 minutes per week. For comparison, my Breville took about 5 minutes of cleaning per day, plus another 3–5 minutes per drink. I loved the coffee. I simply chose not to be an unpaid barista. Pros: - Practically self-cleaning - Very simple, intuitive UI - Strong, consistent, great-tasting espresso - Heats up fast (~30 seconds) - Excellent milk frothing - Tons of drink options - Doppio+ mode = a very strong shot (~18g) Cons: - Bean hopper could use a gasket seal - Build quality isn’t ultra-premium At this price, it’s an easy recommendation. If you want great espresso and have accepted that convenience is now a core value, this machine is a no-brainer. I loved my Breville. I just love not working for my coffee more. Five stars!

Great brew but horrible quality.
So, it made a great coffee. The cappuccino was excellent. Plain coffee was fantastic. The grinder functioned well. It was fast and made a great cup. But…. Less than 6 months in and it doesn’t do any of that. It started sporadically not recognizing the milk frother cleaning setting and the water spout. I contacted delonghi which was a struggle itself, but by time I was able to send all the info and videos they requested, it had become a constant issue. They eventually sent a box for return shipping for repairs. Two weeks later I get a machine back that I can’t even prime because it didn’t recognize the water spout to initialize the machine. So another email to delonghi. Another video. And they have decided to send me a water spout….. ? I read hundreds of reviews and watched hours of Tom’s coffee corner before deciding on this one. But the owner reviews where people said it was awesome, but only when it worked, were spot on. For a thousand dollars, I expected more. Go with a better and more reputable brand. The value and quality isn’t there.

Great New Auto Coffee Machine!
This new DeLonghi Magnifica Plus is AMAZING! I have owned a Miele 6350 for over ten years. I must say here that it was my first Auto Espresso machine that grinds and brews multiple Coffee Drinks at the push of a button. In that period of time it produced over 14,000 flawless cups of FRESH coffee. During that time, I used only distilled water to minimize buildup of Calcium and other sediment in the brew unit. Recently, it stopped working. I looked for a repair facility in Colorado. There aren't any! I couldn't locate ANY FACTORY AUTHORIZED repair facilities within reasonable driving distance. I went back to Williams Sonoma where I purchased the unit for around $3000 ten years ago. They had no solutions for how to get the machines repaired. While I was there, they demonstrated both a Jura machine (almost $4000) and a Delonghi machine (about $1900). I did some research online and found that Delonghi (an Italian maker) had factory authorized repair centers in Colorado, Utah, and Texas. The Delonghi also made EXCELLENT coffee drinks that tasted great (every bit as good as the Jura. Williams Sonoma did NOT have a Miele Machine in the store. After looking at prices online (ie. AMAZON), I found this Magnifica Plus that has a modern touch screen selection for every hot Coffee Drink including those with Milk Foam or Hot Milk that I am interested in. The more expensive machine at Williams Sonoma even made cold Brewed Coffee (for about $900 more). I also watched an excellent video presentation for this Magnifica Plus on the Amazon website putting this machine through its paces for various coffee drinks. This Machine EXPERT has reviewed many different coffee makers (Tom's Coffee Corner). His video presentation, the DeLonghi sample that I had at Williams Sonoma, and the Local Factory service made up my mind on this machine. In addition, if you register it online, they give you an additional year of factory warranty (3 years total!). I have used this machine for about thirty days now and it has been excellent. makes a better cup of coffee than my old Miele, AND it was about $1500 LESS than replacing the Miele. THISIS A WINNER!

⭐ Excellent Coffee Machine After 1 Year of Use
I bought my De’Longhi Magnifica Evo one year ago, and I still love it. I use it every day and the coffee tastes amazing. The espresso is rich and smooth, and the milk frother makes great cappuccinos and lattes. Very easy to use and clean. Definitely a great purchase.

My first 'superautomatic' and couldn't be happier with it
I love coffee but have always used a simple drip machine at home. I recently made the decision to invest in a fully-automated espresso machine, a superautomatic as I’ve learned they are called, just to see what I was missing out on. I gave myself a budget of $1000, which is 10x what my current drip coffee maker cost. After doing lots of research I settled on the Delonghi Magnifica Plus. (It was on sale for $999 for Black Friday.) The reasons: it came highly recommended in user forums, was getting great reviews by coffee experts, and had all the features that people complained about not having in less expensive models (easy to maintain, fully configurable, chute for ground coffee, etc.) If you look at the reviews here, you’ll notice that most of the complaints are about the cheaper models (Start, Evo) and not the Plus. The bottom line: I absolutely love it! It look me a bit of experimenting, but I eventually found the right grind/shot strength/water amount/temperature to always get my perfect cup of coffee. (I drink Americanos.) I do rely on the ability to personalize all the settings and can see how it would be frustrating not to be able to do so with a cheaper model. I haven’t used the milk attachment, but I like knowing that it’s there in case I want to experiment. The UI is well designed and it’s easy to use. The only downside is that it’s so easy to make an amazing cup of coffee that it’s hard not to drink more than I should. Another downside is that I’ve stopped going to my favorite coffee shop as often, as I can now get an arguably better cup of coffee at home. I hadn’t considered this when I first bought it, but the machine will actually pay for itself within a year.

Poor quality machine and support is horrible
I was so excited to receive the machine - makes great coffee. All of a sudden it kept going to milk drinks and you had to exit out to get all drinks. I usually make coffee so this was extremely annoying. It then started flashing between Milk and Coffee drinks (the light below those) and you had to clear out. Then it no longer lights up with you hit either. Due to it being purchase just over 60 days I now had to go directly to DeLonghi and their support is horrendous. We did some troubleshooting and it was determined there is a bad computer / communication board and it needs to be sent in. I then receive email I will receive a box with instructions and I received an empty shipping box with label, padding but no instructions. I wanted about a week for instructions to be emailed and never happened. I am packing it today taking to fed ex and hoping for the best. For a machine over $1K and having these type of issues in less than 90 days it should be replaced and they should refurbish this machine. Thankful I saved by Moca Master coffee pot in the event of issues or I would have no coffee pot for 2 weeks minimum. Very disappointed and regretful I ever purchased.

Super Coffee Machine!
This is a great coffee machine. I love quality and variety and this provides both. Ive had nothing but flawless performance to date (Nov 20, 2025 - April 10, 2026). It's fun and easy to use (and I'm not necessarily easily amused). I did have a client buy the exact same machine and they did have an issue with carafe not being recognized, but the machine I received is perfect. I would definitely recommend getting one. Look at 'Tom's Coffee Corner' on YouTube for this machine. One year of research and his recommendation convinced me to buy. I'm glad I did.

Absolutely Worth It
I couldn’t be happier with my De’Longhi Magnifica Plus. From the first cup, it was clear this machine is on another level compared to anything I’ve owned before. The espresso is rich, smooth, and perfectly extracted every time, with a beautiful crema that rivals what I get at my favorite café. The built in grinder makes a huge difference. Freshly ground beans completely elevate the flavor, and the grind settings let you fine tune the taste exactly how you like it. I also love how customizable the drink options are strength, temperature, and volume are all adjustable, so it feels like the machine is tailored to you. The milk frothing system is fantastic. It produces creamy, velvety foam for cappuccinos and lattes with almost no effort. Clean up is surprisingly easy too, which is a big plus for a fully automatic machine. The intuitive controls and clear display make it simple to use right out of the box. What really stands out is the consistency. Every morning I get the same great result without guessing or tinkering. It’s fast, quiet, and feels solid and well built. If you’re on the fence, don’t be. This machine has completely changed my home coffee routine and has already paid for itself in café trips I no longer make. Highly recommend

Buena compra.
Gracias.

Wonderful Unit!
I thought my wife was nuts wanting this unit. Now I can't imagine mornings without it. It has ruined me as most other coffee options taste terrible. Two flat whites a day make me a happy guy! Use is simple, cleanup and maintenance easy, and serves great coffee.
