Muscle Rack 48"W x 24"D x 72"H 5-Shelf Steel Shelving (Black/Brown)

I've built 5 sets of Muscle Rack shelves in this style (various sizes) over the last few months and I couldn't be happier. This purchase was for the 48"W x 24"D x 72"H shelves, which I am using to store fifteen 12 gallon storage containers. This set fit perfectly in a free space in my utility room and went together in under 20 minutes. I found it easy to build with one person if there is free wall space nearby. As the instructions say, use a rubber mallet or hammer and wooden block to set the rivets. I used a wooden paint brush handle and regular hammer without issues or marring. Once set properly, the shelves are even and very sturdy.

I already knew the quality of this item because I'd had one or similar before from other purchases, and several friends have them, too. The shipping seemed a bit wonky, as it was supposed to arrive June 22-24. It didn't arrive, and then it was supposed to arrive June 25-27. It still didn't arrive. I sent a message to the seller, indicating the delay, and the shipper said it would arrive on the 29th. When checking the shipping tracking number after receiving that email, it said it would arrive on the 30th, so I went with the 30th - which is when it arrived, so no big deal. I do understand that with COVID19 hanging about that things can get delayed in shipping, or even getting to the shipper, so no hard feelings. Thanks for the shelf! My husband is arranging his 3D printers on them.

This is a good quality shelf, however. It does not come with all of the parts to complete it. The vertical supports that hold the shelf brackets are actually in two pieces, and you need a coupler to connect them. The directions will have you believe that you can connect them with the shelf brackets. Do not even attempt this. I bought two of these. Post couplers were not included in the packages even though they are pictured in the photos. The couplers are not mentioned in the parts list and yet are included in the assembly directions! This is very disappointing since i spent almost $200 on these racks. Now im stuck waiting for a response from the seller and have tons of stuff laying on the floor of my garage. Don’t waste your money on this company!

Very sturdy, easy to put together and holds a lot of storage. Exactly what I needed!

Do Not Buy if you want a tall rack. You can use to make two short racks but cannot stack. Bought 3 sets and none brought the necessary hardware to "stack" which is a small metal sleeve that binds the rails together. The shelves themselves are low quality particle board, sturdy enough but rough and easily damaged in shipping. Worked for my purposes but far from ideal.

This item arrived in a box all taped and tattered. We still took it in the basement and opened it up. It was really bent. Couldn’t possibly see a way of sending it back especially given the way it was boxed. This is my third one I’ve ordered and the only one that came in this condition. It’s up and usable but not the best looking.
