Very nice headphones for activity
I bought both these and the "HD1 free" at the same time. My main exercise where I'd use headphones is walking outside; I have decent equipment indoors where I can just use a speaker, and running IMHO is just a good way to get hurt. The sound quality on the HD1 free is better; we'll just get that out of the way first - those things are absolutely phenomanal earbuds. But the HD1 cord is longer and they don't fit as snugly in my ears. As a result, while I'm walking around town, turning my head to cross the street, they would get pulled out just slightly. Without the seal, earbuds suddenly sound really hollow. These CX1s, though, are great. They sound /almost/ as good as the HD1 free, which means they still sound better than whatever you probably have now. They really do sound very good; they're an outstanding earbud. I'm keeping them because they really do work better for "active" use. They're lighter weight overall. The buds are somewhat smaller and the cord is shorter. Looking at them, you'd think those were really minor changes, but they feel substantially lighter weight overall. Combine that with the silicone "wings", and these stay put exceptionally well. They come with four sets of "the thing that plugs your ear canal" and three sizes of wing, but, as a "borderline-large guy" (6'1"/225), the default size-3 cushions and medium wings (as-shipped) fit me perfectly. I did run and jump some with them in, and have spent several hours walking around town, which involves a lot of "look both ways before crossing" head motions that usually pull headphones out. These things stay exactly where I put them. They block out darn near all outside nose in a small town, so they're honestly probably not super safe to wear in high-speed traffic - but I'm in a village where there's basically no cars driving around. They'd be great in a gym, and I've been using them at my desk occasionally (though my PXC-550 headset gets more use when I'm sitting down). The thing about these (actually both) which I'm most impressed by, aside from the sound, is the bluetooth range. I use some 3M worktunes over-ear hearing protection while I'm mowing. They also use bluetooth. I noticed that the sound would pause when I'd pass in front of my front door. After the fourth or fifth time, I looked at the bluetooth settings, and my phone was connecting to the CX1 sports. I had forgotten to turn them off, and left them on my kitchen table. In the house, over 50 feet away, though two doors. The signal was strong enough and these connect fast enough that they were reconnecting to my phone in my front pocket on the opposite side of my body. I had to go inside and turn them off. It goes without saying that I've not had any trouble with them disconnecting from my phone regardless of where I carry it. You wouldn't have to keep your phone on you while working out, as long as it's in view. Re: the yellow, I wasn't initially a huge fan. But I've decided I like it for two reasons. One, it makes them easier to find in a dark bag or whatever, and two, it's just enough that people around can actually tell you're wearing headphones. since these block out external sound so well, it's nice not turning around and realizing that someone's been talking to you for who knows how long without you hearing a word. In short, I love these things for any time I'm moving around; they stay in and sound really really good. And the HD1 free? My wife ended up keeping them, because she didn't have a particularly good set of headphones. So, we both win. :)

Very light and comfortable but cuts out too much
The headphones sound great which is to be expected and the fit is pretty good although I do find one side does not fit as perfectly as the other. I noticed the side with the battery, the heavier side can come out just a little bit. I have owned these for about 2 weeks using them to work out about 2-3 days out of the week. I sweat a lot during work outs. Last night I went for a 2 hour bike ride and about 1 hour in the headphones started cutting out much like they were losing signal. If this does happen again I will be forced to return the unit. Hopefully it doesn't come to that but let's see.I own the wired ocx 686g and they withstand the rain with ease but these so far don't seem as resilient :(. I will update as more time goes by EDIT: the headphones keep cutting when the phone is in my pocket and sometimes even cuts when I'm walking and the phone is in my hand! I will try to exchange or return asap. Disappointed.

I wanted to love these, but...
I have used Sennheiser earbuds for exercise for about 5 years now (the wired kind). I absolutely adored those and they sounded great. So, imagine my surprise when I realized exactly how badly I overpaid for these. They simply are poorly designed. The sheer weight of the battery/controls on the connecting wire keeps pulling them out of your ears - no matter the combination of tips and fins. You can forget about jogging with these things, because any sort of bouncing around exacerbates the problem. If you manage to get a snug fit, the main chassis pulls right out of the tip, leaving the silicone lodged in your ear canal. This is especially true after a couple of weeks usage, because, you know, humans have earwax and sweat when they exercise. This causes the sound quality to suffer because it never has a proper seal, making it sound worse than the lowest-end earphones. The battery notification is not quite accurate. It will show half-full on the phone and the earphones themselves will notify you “2-3 hours remain” only to have them die 20 minutes later. I will say that there’s no problems on a full charge. Also, as of this writing, there’s no aftermarket for earfins, so if you lose one you probably have to buy directly from Sennheiser. Which, last I checked, did not have them listed anywhere. Frustrating. All in all, I simply cannot recommend these and as a loyal customer I feel very disappointed. They are cheap and overpriced. Sadly, Beats have not let me down yet (they stay in at least) and if those are out of your price range, get some knockoffs because they will still work better than these Sennheiser earphones.

Good sound, great for working out
The CX Sport from Sennheiser is a good choice when you're looking for a headphones for your workouts. This has a similar sound signature to what I've heard in other Sennheiser products. While it's not cheap, it is made well and the connection is consistent and strong. Buy this if you want a good pair of headphones for working out - as that is their claim to fame. Sound: The CX Sport has a crisp, clear sound that I find similar to other Sennheiser products. It has their typical well-defined treble and mids. The bass is balanced, but not emphasized like other competing products. The over all sound is pleasing, clear, and well-defined. I also like the fact that the soundstage has a slightly "airy" quality to it. I have tried so many cheaper WIRED headphones during my workouts, and the wireless CX Sport is lightyears better than all of them. When I compare them to my other "audiophile" wired IEMs - like my Ultimate Ears Triple Fi.10 - these are in the same league - which surprised me a lot! These sound that good regardless if you bought them for workouts or not. I will admit that I use the equalizer settings on my iPhone to bump the bass up a bit - but that's a minor issue for me. Comfort: This product comes with 3 pairs of eartips as well as 3 pairs of earfins which help secure the earpieces better - especially when you're working out. Switching out the eartips and earfins is quite easy - and it takes very little time in finding the right fit. I've keep them on for over an hour during workouts, and they remained comfortable. Battery Life: I typically recharge them every 3-4 days. Being so small, they won't last after about 4 hours. Connection: This product uses Bluetooth 4.1. I've tested them connected to my phone which was upstairs, and I went downstairs - the connection was still stable without any issues. Latency: I use the CX Sport with an iPhone 8 Plus. I will admit - there is a little lag when watching video. The sound is ever so slightly behind. It's only noticeable when watching the lips of someone talking - the sound isn't exactly timed correctly. I don't mind this - since I'd have to really be looking for it to notice. Besides, this is not an issue when listening to music - which is what I do most of the time. Conclusion These are a great choice if you're looking to step up from the typical budget headphones. They are very light, and when exercising vigorously, they remain stable and in my ears without any issues.

Coming from AirPods, I can't really recommend these.
During a move, I somehow lost the earbud portion of my AirPods, and started looking for a replacement as I wanted to try something new. I typically exercise four to five times a week, for roughly an hour and a half. It's a nice mixture of cardio and weights, divided evenly across the whole workout. I found these on Amazon, and decided to give them a shot. While I realize they are not wireless like the AirPods, I've had varying levels of success with products similar to this (Jaybirds). For whatever reason, I cannot keep any type of headphone like this in my ear, regardless of what size I use. I decided to order these to give them a shot, and have been mostly happy with them. They arrived, I paired them, put them in, and they died within five minutes. I get that these probably don't come charged from the factory, but my AirPods did. Not a huge deal, but it would have been nice to use the product as soon as I received it. I plugged them in, got the advertised one hour of run time from a ten minute charge, and started doing yard work. The fit is okay, but I constantly feel like these are working to get out of my ears. They are fairly snug, but every so often these pop out of my ear, which is super annoying. I've tried all of the size settings, and large seems to work best, but in the five days I've had these, they have fallen out of my ears more than the year of use I had with my AirPods. Additionally, getting the little charging door open is a pain, I need tweezers to pop it open. Sound quality is good, but bass is pretty much non existent. I think for casual listening at the gym (what these are designed for, kind of?) they are fine, but if you want heavy bass I would look elsewhere. At this price point, I was expecting a little more., especially from a company like Sennheiser. Seeing as I have only had these for a few days, I can't say I've figured out all the quirks. I've used them for six or seven hours total, and can't really complain about much, but they truly don't WOW me. At ~$20 less than a new pair of AirPods, I feel like I made the wrong choice, and should have just replaced my last pair, with another set of the same. The AirPods had a better sound profile for my style of music, fit better, and were immensely more convenient with the charging case. If you are on the fence between the two, I would absolutely just go with the AirPods.

The best wireless earbuds for the gym
These headphones are amazing. I went through Beats X and Jaybirds X3 both didn’t do it for me, the Beats X has way to long of a cable for the gym and the Jaybirds X3 broke after a month. I was going to buy the Bose SoundSport Wireless but hearing that Sennheiser was releasing wireless sports earbuds I had to wait to get these. I have the Sennheiser HD660s and Game One headphones, both of which are amazing. Sennheiser delivered with these. They are simple to connect via Bluetooth. Sound is well balanced, bass might be a little weaker than other options such as the Jaybirds X3 or Beats X. However for the music I listen to which is mainly EDM (Techo, Trance and House) the bass is just right to not ruin the lows or highs. The fit on these are really good. The Jaybirds would always fall out of my ears, but these stay in place no matter what. Took these last night to the gym and they stayed in place the whole 3 hour workout. The wait for Sennheiser to put out wireless sport earbuds has paid off, definitely quality product and one of the best options out there.

Bad build, bad service. Expected more from Sennheiser
2 months was all it took for these headphones to stop working. Sound quality and connectivity were fine, but all of a sudden they completely stopped charging. Their online service sucks too, tried calling the number (LISTED ON THEIR SITE) who told me that since I had purchased through Amazon, it was not their responsibility. Really expected better from such a reputable brand. Either way, even if the battery hadn't gone dead I would not recommend these. The battery hanging off the left side made these earbuds lopsided and they would constantly fall out of my ear, making running with them impossible. Overall, never get these.

Great pair of earphones, battery life a bit low
I've been using this pair of earphones for 5+ years now. Never broke on me, but I have replaced them a couple times just because I've lost them. Sound quality is excellent, nothing less than what you'd expect from Sennheiser. The fit is perfect and comes with a variety of earpieces, including the option to remove the random yellow thing that sticks out. I prefer to keep these removed as they fit in my ear better + translate to a better sound quality. Only complaint is battery life. This is an old series of product, discontinued from actual production by Sennheiser, so that is a given. The battery last about 4-6 hrs maximum. Great product overall and I'll continue to buy.

I'm glad I waited for these!
First of all, awesome product for the money. Hands down, this is one to go with for workout headphones. This is the sister to the CX6.00, released by Sennheiser earlier this year. The make is basically the same, but with a highlighter yellow scheme and ear fins. So if you're looking for a headphone that's not a workout model, I'd highly recommend the CX6.00 bluetooth, as that'll save you $40. What's great: - Have had ZERO bluetooth connectivity issues. - Great fit: Tons of different eartip sizes, and earfins for running. (4 different sizes I believe for eartip, 3 for earfin) - Sound Quality: Fantastic. Can hear nuances of my music. Very natural sounding Bass, Mids and Treble without "forced" sounds (Extra Bass) like with competing products. - Battery Life: Hasn't been a problem. 6 hours seems really good - Neckband: Really comfortable. The battery pack and the controls are built on opposite sides, ensuring that the weight is equal. - Microphone: Great for answering calls. It's noise cancelling, so it's quite clear and positioned near your mouth so you don't have to move it. -Case: Really small, and fits in pocket! What's needs improvement: - Maybe 1 more earfin size and/or the ability to order them online. - The App: Captune doesn't give much options for streaming music, only downloaded music. Which is fine, I don't really use it. Overall: Really worth it. Thanks Sennheiser!

Jogging earphones
Jogging Ear pieces fit well in the ear. Although, when paired with my Iphone it drops out - Default Voiceover keeps on coming on while jogging - Then stops after 20 mins it stops - Besides the above, good earphones

Awful sound quality
I bought these for my wife for Christmas. She’s been using them happily for the last 18 months. I borrowed them last week for the first time and the sound quality was awful. They simply had no bass which meant that I couldn’t use them as even podcasts were unbearable to listen to. When I asked my wife how long they had sounded like that she told me they always had, but thought it was normal for that style of headphones. My advice is that you check them when you get them out of the packaging. As based on the product description which talks about a rich sound and bass, ours were obviously faulty from the start.
