Not super thick but gets the job done, and this seriously is a game changer. It does NOT arrive broken, and the “wire” coming out is NOT sharp at all and is covered. It’s that way so you can wash the piece.Save some money and buy this you won’t regret it.

I returned this item. As a newborn photographer, I did not feel it was safe for a baby. The ends of the metal, which do have a plastic protecter on them, poke out between the velcro. They could still poke the baby. The fluffy part is not very thick or protective on the edge of a bucket. It is made very cheaply, not worth the money, and I will not use anything I think might injure a newborn. It was a good idea, but not this product.

I was excited to get this. It's a good size and the center is soft (slightly padded). However, it arrived broken. When I took it out of the package the flexible metal ring was poking out of the Velcro hole. I'm assuming this Velcro area is to remove the ring in case of washing. However, the metal sticks out (because of a ripped seam) and does not have a way to connect with the other end of the circle. I'm worried that this could stab baby while posing over the edge of a bucket.

If you're trying to save money don't buy useless items, I'd rather spend a lot more money on something useful and safe to use with newborns
