These cutters have a nice spring return and are sharp.

I'll start with the downside.When cutting larger than half inch items, the blade has a tendency to open sideways. This is easily fixed with a small correcting twist but I also may be past the limit of what they are designed to cut.Past that, these trimmers are very well designed and very sharp out of the box.The foam grip is an unexpected huge bonus as well. Even when squeezing very hard I've not left an impression in my hand or hurt my hands while using this.A simply great choice for garden work and small trimming.

Previously, my wife had been using some large kitchen scissors to cut her flower stems. Recently, she bought a ton of flowers on sale and made several bouquets. These saved her hands from that painful experience of using those scissors.She said these made the much larger job easier that some smaller jobs she tackled with her old scissors. The grip is covered with a foam that makes them comfortable to use. She also commented about how these made it so easy to cut through the stems it was like cutting through paper.What I liked about it: Easy to use. Comfortable grip. Snipped through flower stems like they were paper.What I didn't like: No negatives found.My wife highly recommends these shears

I have two small gardens I take of and pruning branches of all sizes is a big part of that. This is a pretty nice pair of garden shears. The best thing about it are the blades: they have a good heft, which gives you a little more leverage when you cut and they are quite sharp, making pruning most plants and branches a breeze.It does have its limitations. The spring does not open the shears completely and you can actually open them about another 1/2” manually. The shears have a difficult time with some larger branches, so you’ll to be careful where you use them. While the foam cushions on the handles do give you some comfort, with hard use they will start to shred. You might want to wrap them in fabric tape to give them more protection and a longer life.I think these things are geared more towards a casual gardener rather than someone who will use them every day. Your needs will determine whether these are right for you. It’s your money spend it wisely.

These pruning shears are great!I love the comfortable non-slip foam covers on the handles. They make the shears so much more enjoyable to use, especially when cutting something that requires some extra force. I didn't get any blisters after using these.The blades are SUPER sharp and slice through vines and smaller branches with ease. With a 3/4" cutting capacity, you can really tackle a lot around the yard.The weight of these feels much more substantial than the brand I was previously using. Not in a bad way. I didn't experience any hand fatigue or anything, they just feel higher quality than many other brands that I have tried.The spring mechanism is fully covered in metal so I can't see that coming loose or breaking any time soon (hopefully never).The locking mechanism is great for when you want to store the shears. You have to be careful because the little lever can get bumped during use, causing the shears to stay closed instead of springing back. It has to be positioned just right so that it stays in place. I found it very easy to lock and unlock.

These pruners are great for branches thicker than a regular flower stem. They are easy to use and lock easily. Very comfortable in my hand.
