This threshold fit perfect for our front door. Easy to put in place and arrived on time.

The finish is great. The fit is perfect. But the rubber seal took ten times longer to install than the threshold itself.The seal arrives separately because the screws go underneath it.When it comes time to insert the seal, good luck. I struggled for over an hour.

I bought the 32" threshold for the garage door entryway in my home. The wood on the underside of the original threshold simply rotted away and this item was the only 32" length that I could find. After the old one was removed it took less than 5 minutes to install. It fit so snugly in the doorway that I did not need to use the screws for anchoring, which would have been a hassle since the entryway was concrete.I can see why some reviewers commented on the difficulty they had in attaching the vinyl piece. I did not have an issue since I was easily able to slide the vinyl piece from one end to the other BEFORE the unit was installed due to the fact I did not use the screws. Installing the vinyl insert AFTER installation would have been difficult. I also did not need to bevel the bottom of the door as described in the instructions.All in all, the project turned out to be easier than I expected.

The metal part was easy to install but the rubber seal on top took so long. Saw on-line to keep spraying with Windex to make it slipper when installing. I measured the space under the door but it threshold, with the rubber piece, was too tall for my door to close. And not tall enough without the rubber piece. The instructions say you need a door beveled at the bottom, which I didn't know about when ordering. I don't have any way to bevel the bottom of the door without hiring someone, which I was trying to avoid.

Bought this in the spring and just got around to installing it before the cold returns. The old threshold was way past it's useful life and the vinyl insert was cracked and pulling out. There was also a lot of daylight under the door as a result. The old one came out rather quickly, and then it was a matter of cleaning up the debris accumulated under there over the last 30+ years. I took the old one to the garage and used it as a template for cutting the new one to fit. A hacksaw did the trick and I was installing it in a matter of minutes. Another problem I encountered was that there was ceramic tile underneath and the pre-drilled mounting holes were right above tiles, so I had to drill new holes to match up with the old holes so I could screw into the subfloor. The final steps were adding a nice bead of silicone caulk to the exterior where it meets the sill, and to adjust the door sweep to fit snugly against the vinyl seal. No more daylight under the door and no more drafts. Great product.

I had to return this because it was too big for the doorway. It was a great quality and I wish it would have worked. It said it could be trimmed, but required a hack saw and miter box. That was more than I could do.

This product is substantial and of good quality. Excellent value for the money! I had quite a large gap under my door and this threshold along with the rubber bumper that goes on top filled up the space nicely! Would highly recommend. Very comparable to a big box version that is 3x the price.
