This beautiful weighted blanket comes presented in a vacuum packed carry bag, unfortunately the bag loses its use for the blanket once you take it out as trying to get it back into it after use is nigh on impossible.The blanket is fluffy sherpa on one side and smooth fleece on the other and is very cosy which ever side you use.The blanket is filled with natural ceramic beads which make the weight.The stitching all seems to be of a good quality and is done in squares to help keep the natural ceramic beads all in place as well as the 7 layers of fabric all to keep the blanket equally distributed and stops leaking of the beads and rustling noise.To blanket is fade and stain resistant so can be spot cleaned with a damp cloth if needed but needs a commercial machine wash to wash it fully.The blanket is lovely and warm and after initially feeling quite strange because of the weight it really does feel like you almost being cuddled or hugged and it feels calming.I have not tried it on my bed yet as it has not been cold enough to warrant it but I have been using it on the sofa and it is lovely, the cat seems to like it too.

TLDR: well made weighted blanket designed to aid restful sleep. This one great for winter as it has a furry side and a fleecy side both designed to snuggle down with.I have been using a weighted blanket for a while now except in the summer. For those that have never tried it I would say that although it does take a little while to get used to I really do think it is a good idea as it defiantly stops a restless sleeper like me from tossing and turning or fidgeting as much and as such gets me off to sleep better. I have very occasionally brought the blanket down to throw over me on the sofa when I’m feeling really sorry for my self.This Cottonblue Sherpa blanket weighs 7kg which (if you follow the idea that it should represent about 10% of your bodyweight) is suitable for people around 11 stone and over). The weight in the blanket comes from ceramic beads which are stitched into sections in the 7 layer construction so that the weight remains distributed across the blanketThe added bonus of this blanket is the smooth fleece surface on one side with the second side being furry with the “Sherpa”. This not only feels good but will really give you that virtual hug on a colder night.It is not cool enough in my house to use this properly yet but I have laid it out and tried it and I am looking forward to using this properly as the winter nights draw in as it really does feel lovely (both sides). At £39.99 I think this is a great price for this weighted blanket which I think will serve me for years to come and help me get a warm and comfortable nights sleep.

I ordered the Cottonblue Weighted Blanket 150cm x 200cm 9kg in grey. This blanket is really lovely. It looks exactly like in the pictures with a soft velvety side with a square pattern and on the other side it is thick and fluffy. It is really quite heavy and when you get under it, it is very cosy and warm. The weight is made by tiny balls inside the blanket. It says you are supposed to choose a blanket that is 8 to 10% of your body weight so I maybe should have got the 7kg one, but the 9kg one is great. The blanket arrived vacuum sealed in a nice zippered black bag. Once opened though, it will never fit back in the bag and really the bag is just nice packaging. It would make a great gift. I really like it and I can definitely recommend this blanket.
