Fantastic!
This is the second one I have bought. I grumbled about stiff keys in my previous review, but this second one is perfect! The keys and controls seem much smoother. I got this second one as a present for my Partner, and have put all his favourite music on a mini sd card, plus one of our best photos on the sd card for his screensaver. It's only now I realise how good this phone is! And how adaptable. It was a piece of cake to stick the songs on the mini sd and just slot it in. Look under media and it's all there. Plus the photo has editing options to enlarge, crop and so on so it fits perfectly as a screensaver. Really impressed - I also liked the maps on it. This is way way more advanced than my last nokia with music player, internet and camera. Just perfect really.I use mine with a gel case so it doesn't slip out of your hand, which works really well and looks good - kind of makes it look like a workhorse of a phone and a bit funky. I take back my comments about stiff buttons now. I got used to it and this second one has very smooth button-presses - maybe they've improved a few things on this phone in the last year. Now I want another one, as a spare for mine - as no doubt by the time it breaks or goes wrong there won't be anything like this any more, with a keypad in candybar and all the basics at a reasonable price. The price has come down a bit too. My first one cost £65. Got this one for about £56 (makes all the difference!) and they are available locked to a network for about £40 - but you have to buy £10 credit as well. So this one on Amazon is a good price sim free.

Brilliant Replacement for my Nokia 6230i
In a nut shell, I can't believe some of the negative reviews of this phone, it's brilliant. I'm a tech savvy electrical engineer and wanted a replacement for my Nokia 6230i but not a smartphone. Why not a smartphone? I want a phone with buttons, doesn't cost hundreds to replace if I drop it and lasts more than a day before it needs charging. I also don't want to have to respond to emails instantly or post stuff on Facebook (people really do need to get a life!).Pros:Costs less than a hundred pounds.Made of plastic, but the best plastic and build quality is excellent.Battery lasts 4 or 5 days before it needs charging (I have blue tooth on all the time for my car kit).Pairs with my car's hands free kit perfectly and the voice recognition system is brilliant.3G if you desperately need the internet.Alarm - You can set a wake up alarm, turn the phone off & it'll wake itself up in the morning & wake you up.Press any button to snooze the alarm (you don't even need to take the phone out of your pocket).Totally configurable joystick & option buttonsExcellent speakerphone.Excellent call quality & signal strength.Texting and making calls is a joy.Large font option makes seeing all your contacts a lot easier. You can copy your MS Outlook calendar and contacts to the phone. I copied 693 contacts to the phone just to see if it would do it and it did but then I deleted them because I considered it a security risk (phone's own memory used).Nokia sync software actually works.Cons:No WiFiCamera poor but I only use it to photograph price tags on things am thinking about buying at the DIY store. As you can probably guess, I really like this phone, it's not a smartphone but it's for smart people! :-)

That it’s easy to use.
When it arrived it was in Chinese had to get my daughter to search how to change it to English. Battery doesn’t last very long.I think it might be a fake.

It's a Phone!
It's not a life-style, it's not a tv or a computer, it's a phone. Make calls, send texts, take some pictures if you've forgotten your proper camera...I've just upgraded my Nokia C1-01 after a couple of years because the camera was frankly pants (it's a VGA - which means it takes the equivalent of computer monitor type pictures), and I discovered that I actually used it more than I thought (ie I thought I wouldn't!) The C2-01 has a 3.2meg camera and it takes pictures that look acceptable so far. If I'm going somewhere that requires proper photos, I take my real camera!Everything else is much as the C1-01 - simple-to-use Nokia software if you're a long-term Nokia user like me, it feels more solid than the C1 - the keys are better, room for a microchip (as per the C1)... I'll up-date when I know if the battery life was like the previous (charged the C1 about once a week - I'm not a high user!). The best improvement for me is that in the calendar mode, you can actually read the notes and reminders for the day from the month screen without having to go into each day.So far this has worked straight from the box - people with problems are hopefully in the minority and it is down to the individual phone, not the product as a whole.I'm not ready for the whole smart phone business; currently I quite like the way I can just pop this in my pocket and keep in touch, and I'm also not organised enough to remember to charge a phone every night. I have to say I wish I'd bought this instead of the C1 in the first place (and frankly that's mainly as regards the camera), but there you go!To sum up, if you want a neat phone to keep in touch with people, as opposed to a mini computer to play around with, this might be the one for you.Updated - Feb 2013: I charge this about twice a week - sometimes more if I've been using the camera a bit, or listening to music on it. I've added a 16mg memory card and have now something of a "playlist" on there. It's not a ipod, it's not a music machine - but it's very adequate for plugging into the car or listening to while my daughter has a swimming lesson! The photos are averagely good - way better than the previous camera, and very acceptable if you are not too demanding. More important of course, is that I can RING people on it. I've even managed to drop it once with no ill-effect. (Not recommended, obviously.)

Mega guter Support
