Review: Absolutely brilliant. Don't know how I did without it! - I wish I'd known about these sooner! The seal is perfect – no leaks. The grip detailing and quality/durability is better than the competition like Hozelock and others. I'm increasingly gravitating towards Gardena as I find their quality superior across the board. But the best thing is being able to attach and detach hose tools without needing to turn the water off first. This saves time and avoids you getting soaked if, like me, you occasionally forget! It's a simple tool, but well worth getting. To attach a tool, you just push it onto the stop. To detach, you pull back on the connector, which has a spring in it, and then pull the tool out. It's nice and snug, but not too tight. It's very well designed, really. One thing to bear in mind – once you get used to this, you may forget to turn the tap off. If you have quality connectors like these everywhere, that may be fine. If, like most people, your hose or connectors leak a bit, you may find yourself wasting water. So watch out. But definitely buy this!

Yes, the GARDENA Water Stop 18213-20 is a practical hose fitting with innovative functions to help you with garden watering. The adapter is attached to the end of the hose and then goes into action every time you want to change a watering accessory. The auto water stop function cuts off the water flow immediately and only starts again as soon as you connect a new watering accessory, such as a spray nozzle, to the hose.

Really good value with stop function

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Gardena Hose connector (water stop)

Trying the Gardena system, as my old hose was blowing connectors too often as the hose became softer in the hotter weather. Feels quality, I like the fact that the gripping tabs are serrated (to lock onto the matching serrations on the outside of the Gardena hose, thus improving the grip). Different categories of Gardena hose have different features, so choose carefully. Not cheap, but if it works and lasts, I'll be very pleased.
