If you bough these you’re probably in the same boat… placed them in a “safe place” to find if ever needed. Never seen them again so had to buy these spares for the yoto we got.

Beware the seller's failure to describe this item as a TTRS (4-conductor, 3.5mm plug) to TRS (3-conductor, 3.5mm male plug). AFTER delivery of this item, I was surprised to see that it is not a TRS to TRS aux cable. Close examination of the photo in the description, after the fact, does however confirm that it is a TTRS to TRS aux cable.Also, the description text includes this MISLEADING phrase: "Volume Limited 85 dB" - that might be true for their headphones when using a specific source -AND- a specific headphone amplifier, when the volume is turned all the way up, but it is NOT true, in general.For my application, measuring SPL with a Scosche SPL1000 sound pressure level meter, held right at the ear position of my headphones, this cable allowed a SPL of 98 dB, with my headphone amplifier turned all the way up. It was, however, a lower SPL than is possible with an aux cable that does not contain a resistor.There is no "intelligence" or DSP of any kind, built into this cable - as would be necessary to make the claim that it can LIMIT VOLUME to a specific sound pressure level (85 dB). It only contains a fixed-value resistor and should be described as an ATTENUATING AUX CABLE that does NOT limit SPL to any specific dB value, but rather, ATTENUATES all portions of an audio signal equally - from the weakest, low-volume portions of the signal all the way to the strongest, high-volume portions - no matter the overall volume level of your source. It does NOT attenuate ONLY those signals that would exceed 85 dB - in any headphone, including theirs.I'm keeping this cable for two reasons: I have another use for an ATTENUATING AUX CABLE (to reduce speaker-level signals down toward a line level voltage) --- AND --- it's not worth my time and effort to return it.

Leider hatten wir das Original Kabel verlegt, daher musste vorm Urlaub schnell Ersatz her - Lieferung war gewohnt schnell aber ich finde den Preis etwas übertrieben zumal wir nur eins der beiden Kabel gebraucht haben, wäre toll wenn man nur das bestellen könnte was tatsächlich benötigt wird!

Leider kann ich das vorgesehene Kabel nicht mehr benutzen. Am Anfang war alles ok aber nach 6 Monaten meinte mein Sohn, dass etwas kaputt sei. Nachdem ich es untersucht habe kann ich zu dem Schluss, dass es irgendwie mit dem vierten Kontakt für das Mikrofon zu tun hat. Woran es genau liegt kann ich leider nicht sagen, ob am Mikrofon im Kabel oder an der Buchse in Kopfhörer. Aber ich stecke den länglichen Stecker in die Kopfhörer und den gewinkelten in einen mp3 Player und dann hört sich der Sound sehr zischelnd an ( anders kann ich das nicht beschreiben) mit einem Standard Mini klingt 3,5mm Stereo Kabel ist alles ok. Vielleicht ist es nur für Smartphones mit telefoniert bedarf gedacht. An einem herkömmlichen mp3 Player ist das mitgelieferte Kabel nicht zu gebrauchen. Die Kopfhörer an sich sind ok und werden nicht zu laut, so dass Kinderohren geschützt werden.
