Happy with it so far
Fits my Pinecil iron perfectly. Works well.

Decent quality product
I've had two previous adapters, chapo's and this one is clearly better than they are.

just get it
Yes, you can get away just using the standard tip. That's what I'd been doing prior and never thought that the insert tip would make that much of a difference. It does. I have a lot more confidence with the inserts going in knowing that they're square to the tip I'm pushing on.

Excellent addition to pinecil or ts101
Used this the second it arrived for a project using over 100 inserts. I tested on both the Pinecil and TS101. It is great to be able to have better temp control than the standard soldering irons.

Plastic end broke off the very first time I tried to pull the tip out
I used the adapter once to place some brass heat set inserts into a 3D printed project I designed and it worked well. But the first time I pulled the adapter out of my TS101 to switch it for a regular soldering tip the plastic cover at the bottom of the adapter broke off and remained lodged in the TS101. Thankfully I had a thin enough pair of needle-nosed pliers to extract the plastic bit left inside the soldering iron, but with that cap broken I'm likely going to need to do this every single time I want to switch soldering tips.
