Love this perfect small sized fan. It has no remote just a wall switch which is convenient. Great size for my shoe closet. Good light. Efficient speed and air flow. A really good buy and worth the money. Minka is an excellent product. Have many in my home.

Limited in space, distance from ceiling lights, created such a need for this light/fan with a small diameter blade. The project was well planed and laid out. the fan looks great. I used a ceiling medallion under the fan to solve an existing surroundings. the light and the fan work great, worth the money. There is no remote control for this system. I mounted the fan and light dimmer/speed control on the side of the kitchen island counter which is in the center of the kitchen. By the way, The fan is extremely quite.

Pros:The fan was the perfect size for my narrow kitchen and did not Interfere with my opened cabinet. It’s quiet!!!Cons:The Light is not super bright as I prefer for a kitchen. I haven’t had a chance to open up the light to see if I can replace the bulb.I was expecting a remote, but Instead there was a electrical plate to install. My electrician had to connect it and that took extra time for that wiring (which I had to pay for)I’m not a static about the wall plate design. You have to feel for a while to then push up the corre switch. It’s just not a quick walk in and turn on the light.

This is my forth fan from Minka....I have 3 of the large ones in my vacation rental and all my guests love them....quite and moves lots of air and is also so very nice to keep up on the cleaning due to the material it is made.I added this small one to bathroom and amazing again.....!!!What I also enjoyed was the very simple installation.....Finally a fan installation design that is so easy and quick and not having to involve 2 people....

Super disappointed. If you read the description it does say hardwire, but it also says remote. Nice fan I have the larger 44" in my bedroom, and wanted the smaller version for my bathroom area. Unfortunately I have to return it and try and find this size with a remote :(

I really wanted to like this fan, but I don't.The light and fan are perfectly sized for our 10’ x 12’ guest rooms. The installed unit looks great. My bedrooms were pre-wired for this type of fan. So, Installation was straight forward. However, I’m not quite done getting the control switch to fit in the wall box.Regretfully, this model (F510L) fan motor gives off objectionable tonal noise. The tonal noise amplitude varies a bit with fan speed, but the sound pitch remains constant at (assumed) 120 Hz. You can’t really hear the fan windage noise over the tone. This has not been our experience with the other Minka-Aire fans in our home that we love, (2)-F410L and (1)-F844.The F510L wall control unit feels flimsy but works well. The light dimmer is particularly good. However, I am having a challenge with the size of the controller. The unit’s casing fits line-to-line vertically inside the wall box and is too deep into the box as compared to others. I have not yet decided how to address this issue.I purchased two of these 510L fans and will return one of them immediately due to the tonal sound issue. I remain undecided about what to do with the one I already installed.

Like that it is small and looks good in our master bathroom, and it provides good air circulation and is quieter than many fans.

Would buy any other product that can be fixed by an electrician.All of the remote receptors are hidden in the housing and cannot be reached or repaired by an electrician.Not worth it!!!!!Love the look, but Amazon needs to remove this product line if they cannot insure that they work.30% failure rate is unacceptable and Amazon needs to reimburse all electrician fees for replacing the fan if it does not work. THAT's HOW Amaz. would ENSURE THAT THIS PRODUCT WORKS THE FIRST TIME!
