SOPROM Ear Cushions for AirPods Max 1 & 2 Replacement EarPads

These look and feel just like the original ear cups. They magnetize well, the sound quality is great, and they’re fluffy, thick, and comfortable. They function as they’re supposed to, and don’t block the sensors. Installing them and removing them is easy, just like the originals, and there’s no issues with the fit. I bought some of the sweat covers for them in order to keep them from getting ruined, and to take some of the wear and tear that the ear cups would otherwise be subjected to, so I highly recommend to do that if you too are here replacing your old, worn earcups. Definitely great value for the price. Included is a video that shows the headphones with the ear cups and sweat covers.

Apple Air Pod Max; I lost my right ear cushion while on a traveling vacation (I honestly don’t even know how I don’t take them apart). There is no Earthly reason to buy the Apple replacement ear cushions as long as these are available. I find them to be exactly the same as the original ones, possibly even more comfortable. They effortlessly popped right into place magnetically, the color is identical to my space gray ones, they passed the noise cancelling test, and they are the same material so it is clear to me that they will be equally durable and equally easy to clean. In the unlikely event that I misplace/lose one or both again, I will come right back here to replace them. The value and quality far exceeds the cost.

I am really pleased with these. I got them for my AirPods Max and they work perfectly. Comfortable, noise cancel is unaffected, and they DO NOT get the stinky problem the original ones got! The pads that came with the AirPods got stinky for some reason, even though I don't work out in them or use them if I have makeup on. I Clean them but they just get this odor. Theses SOPROM ones don't! They are indistinguishable from the Apple brand. I will get more!

Great Quality

I wanted to test this for a pair of 2025 USB-C Airpod Max I own. I purchased the SOPROM pads along with the Apple OEM ones. Both arrived yesterday. I will say that, in terms of sound and look, they are almost indistinguishable. Almost. There is a bit of tinniness to the sound on the SOPROMs that I don't like and would probably annoy me after a while and make me regret not getting OEM. But I had to literally replay the exact same bits of audio on both, listening very closely to notice. It was more of a feeling at first but I was able to confirm with that exact audio replay test. Critically, noise cancellation was identical as far as I could tell. I think the biggest downside to the SOPROMs is comfort. The OEMs are much softer and the SOPROMs have a really rough texture by comparison that is very noticeable when putting each on. However, after wearing them for a few minutes, I don't notice the roughness. Overall, not a bad choice if you don't want to spend the money.

Apple version of replacement for these are so overpriced. This is how it should be done, affordable and good quality, what else do you want?

As far as sound quality goes, I did back-to-back listening tests, and at least via Spotify high quality audio (not lossless), there's no difference between these and OEM ear cups. They are made of a similar enough construction that they work fine with noise cancellation and create a tight seal. They really did replicate the design down to the last detail except for some superficial aspects, like some air channels having an extra crossmember in the center for rigidity in a couple spots, but this doesn't affect the sound profile. It's hard to comment on the remarks others made about these being slightly thicker, as my OEM pads are thin and worn, causing the drivers to naturally sit closer to my ear in the old pair, but this doesn't impact actual accuracy of sound replication across highs, lows, or mid. It just means the overall volume is almost unnoticeably a little quieter. I think they will break in with time. As other reviewers mentioned, the Space Gray color is a more yellow-biased-gray rather than the red-biased-gray of the OEM cups, so they will not match the headband and ear cup colors exactly. The weave pattern has slightly less texture, but overtly so. If you care about form and can disregard the slight color mismatch, you can't really beat these for 1/3 the price of OEM pads.

Les commentaires négatifs selon lesquels ces coussinets modifieraient le son des AirPods Max ou qu’ils ne seraient pas assez magnétiques sont carrément sans fondement. Ils m’ont fait hésiter à les acheter, mais les commentaires positifs étaient bien plus nombreux et je les ai achetés. Et je confirme : Ils sont bien finis, confortables et ils tiennent parfaitement sur le casque. À ce propos, les coussinets ne comportent aucun aimant, ceux-ci sont situés dans les parties supérieures et inférieures des pavillons de l’AirPods Max et il n’y en à aucun dans les coussinets qui ont seulement une surface magnétique permettant de coller au casque. Quant au son, j’ai fait un test avec un même morceau de musique en changeant plusieurs fois les coussinets originaux/ceux-ci : absolument aucune différence ! Je ne vois d’ailleurs aucun critère physique de ces coussinets qui pourrait justifier une modification de la perception du son par rapport aux originaux, leur design étant identique. J’ai choisi des Gris Sidéral pour mon casque Argent, ils sont moins salissants et ça donne une belle touche contrastée à l’ensemble. Alors, si vous voulez donner un coup de jeune à vos AirPods Max sans casser votre tirelire, ces coussinets seront parfaits !

Sono solo leggermente poco più “imbottiti” rispetto ai cuscinetti originali AirPods Max 2 , per il resto ottima qualità, anche il magnete perfetto. Consigliati.

Good quality, nothing much sto say

These Airpod Max cushion replacements really surprised me. All over the internet, people are saying how bad these third-party cushions are subpar compared to the original, even in extreme cases, people mentioning they would ruin the sound quality and the Active-Noise Cancellation; some also mentioned they fall from the headphones. These cushions hold perfectly tight to the magnets, which is indistinguishable from Apple's regarding sound quality and noise cancellation. 10/10, the product is well-made and very comfy. It seems to me that these cushions are slightly puffier than the original, but that could be due to long-term use. I have had my APM for around 4 years, and these were the perfect replacements I was looking for, costing only 1/3 of what Apple asks on their Canadian website.
