Easy, inexpensive replacement for my HP laptop
Quiet and easy to install. If you are not familiar with taking your laptop apart, you should be able to find a video on YouTube to guide you through it. The plug for the old fan and the new fan were both a bit snug in the connector, but easy enough to get the old one out and the new one in. We'll see how long it lasts, but for now it is running better and with less noise than the original fan ever did. While you're opening the case up, I'd recommend replacing your old hard drive with an SSD. That REALLY gave my old laptop a performance boost. Search online on how to mirror your existing drive to an SSD.

Just what I needed to fix my buzzy fan
Old fan was so loud i thought there was something seriously wrong with my laptop. Knowing it was the fan, I did my research and bought this for my HP Notebook TPN-C126. Only trouble I had was getting the blasted plug out of the motherboard. Took me 10 minutes just prying the thing out. But this fan was super easy to put in and get going. When I turned on the laptop with this in it, I had to put my ear against the exhaust in order to hear the fan, that's how quiet it was. And the price was right. Other people seem to be having issues with the longevity of this fan, so I'll come back if I have any issues in the long run. But for now, it's an A+ from me.

Perfect replacement fan for the HP 15-ba037cl laptop
This fan appears identical to the one it replaced. Yep the bearings were making ugly sounds and my wife had a thermal shutdown one night, so I opened up the laptop, cleaned the fan (which helped but didn't fix it) and got the model number off the fan housing and ordered this as a replacement. The only reason I gave it a 3 star rating for "easy to install" has NOTHING to do with the fan itself but is contingent on the laptop you're working on, and this little 4-conductor plg wasn't easy to deal with....but we GOT IT DONE, and the fan moves much air, and and no more grinding sounds. Make sure this is the right fan for your computer. Works great and my wife is a happy camper!

Watch plug removal!
My fan was making a horrible racket. I was a little reticent to try replacement on my own, but since my laptop is older and the fan was not expensive, I decided I didn't have much to lose. With YouTube videos to help guide the opening of my laptop, I was able to fairly easily pull the case apart, using just a small Phillips head screwdriver. The old fan was caked with dust. My only challenge was that I didn't pay enough attention to the orientation of the fan plug in when I removed it. There are no instructions included with the new fan. I experienced difficulty getting the new fan plugged in, but then discovered that I had the plug upside down. After turning it over, it snapped in appropriately after a few tries. The plug in is very small so either watch closely as you remove it or use some kind of magnification. I did end up with one extra screw, but the laptop works great! I have an HP laptop 15 and this fit perfectly.

Works on HP laptop
I installed this in an HP laptop. The kind with no model name on it. Silver lid, black bottom. It replaced an SPS-813946-001 fan. This replacement is the same except the power plug is black instead of white. Pretty simple two-screw installation. Make sure the wire colors are oriented the same way as the old one when you plug it in. When taking the laptop apart make sure you get the two screws under the rubber bumpers, and pull out the DVD player before opening the case up (the center screw holds the DVD in place.) You have to pry up the edges all around the keyboard part to separate the bottom. There are three small tabs in the battery compartment as well. The new fan eliminated the fan warning on startup, and is pretty quiet.

Works great and easy to install
Great product, had no issues installing or with delivery. Simply removed screws (couple under battery and sticky pads were the only hickups. Removed cd tray after screws cam out. Pried open around keyboard being gentle with the clips. Removed old fan (2 screws hold it in) and popped in the old one. Once cd tray, screws, and bettery we're back in (in that order) powered right up with no errors. Fan is super quite and works great! Worth doing myself!

Not durable, but cheap enough to buy more.
As others have stated, these do not last. My first one lasted over 6 months, and my current one has lasted a year and a half, but is starting to get noisy and I've had a couple thermal shut downs. My particular model of laptop is quite easy to open, so for the price, I have no problem buying more to keep my laptop alive.
