I failed to read the reviews. So I also received one that did not extract the water. I also received a replacement one...it also did not work. Bought a different brand an am much happier.

The media could not be loaded. I love to go camping and hiking and I also love me some coffee. This portable espresso maker definitely helps when I am not able to make myself some coffee. The unit fits nicely in a backpack when hiking or in a suitcase when traveling. Some hotels don't have coffee makers so this unit helps with those occasions.One thing to remember is that this is an espresso maker not a coffee maker. You wont get a nice 8oz cup of joe. You get a nice espresso shot. You could brew multiple times to get a larger cup, but just sipping on an espresso shot in the morning or after a long day hiking can do the job. The directions weren't the best, but it is a pretty simple machine. Put water in, (hot or cold) then press the button according to the water temperature used.I have used both hot and cold water with this, and I would say using hot is best, but I know when you are on the go it isn't always an option. The unit heats the water well but it doesn't get as hot as if you were to add boiling water. It also takes about 5 minutes to heat the water, so it isn't necessarily the fastest.Overall this produced a nice shot of espresso. Sure it isn't the equivalent of a high end countertop machine, but when I'm on the go, it does just fine.

The media could not be loaded. Worked well for first 5-6 times . Then it started leaking - around the base and even from the usb-C charging port. I dried it out completely but it never worked again. Unfortunately, I’m passed the return window. Should have started using it the day I got it instead of waiting for my first trip. Waste of money. Avoid.

The coffee maker comes in a nice green color. It’s about as tall as a portable speaker! Comes with charging cord and as well as a measuring cup for ground coffee. The machine was able to make a small cup of espresso, approx 1 oz shots. No burning taste, and was easy to drip with the coffee beans I’ve grounded myself. Operation was easy and washing doesn’t seem too bad. The cup itself can hold two shots worth (2 oz), however the machine only makes 1 oz at a time. Espresso maker is convenient for camping or when traveling and you don’t want to use the hotel’s coffee maker.

I had high hopes. I used this twice daily for 2 weeks. It was great. Tried nespresso, dolce gusto and ground espresso (this was awful but might have been my own user inexperience). All functioned fine. Toward the end of week 2, it started leaking at the seam of the body. I cleaned it and let it dry out. And then after a week without using, I saw dried battery acids coming out of the plug port and the thing is dead—can’t charge and is inoperable. I have returned it. I’m regretful that it likely will end up in a landfill.

The media could not be loaded. I owned a Nespresso machine that just quit working, leaving me with many unused pods. I did not use the machine enough to justify the expense of replacing it. This item allows me to use my pods quickly and easily. And while I understand that this is a portable espresso maker, I use it in my home regularly. It doesn’t take up the counter space that the Nespresso did and it makes a great cup of coffee. And it cleans up easily. I feel like I got more than I expected. I am very pleased with this purchase.

Total headache to use. Purchased for travel espresso martinis and I definitely needed a drink after trying to get it to work after 4 times and wasting most of my pods. Throwing away and buying instant.

It heats the water, pump turns on, but water doesn't flow.I decieded to give it one last try as I was boxing it up to return. It now has worked great 3 times. I am not sure what happened to make it start working. Tastes really good too!!
