The gel starts to set as soon as it makes contact with the solution, and it will form around where the gel is squeezed. After learning my lesson, it was pretty easy to get a good result.It can be used without adding batteries to the base. The base doesn't have any description on the buttons, aside from the power. It's quite loud, unfortunately with no volume control, which is the only reason it's 4 over 5 stars. The base is pretty fun, aside from being loud, there's red and orange LEDs that glow and flash, and somehow the base adds air into the bowl that adds a fantastic cauldron effect.There are 2 bags of powder, and half a bag is used at a time. The powder is calcium chloride, and sodium alginate for the gel. So it could be used a lot longer if buying the materials in bulk.

La base non ha alcuna descrizione sui pulsanti, a parte l'alimentazione. È piuttosto rumoroso, sfortunatamente senza controllo del volume, che è l'unico motivo per cui ha 4 stelle su 5. La base è piuttosto divertente, oltre ad essere rumorosa, ci sono LED rossi e arancioni che si illuminano e lampeggiano, e in qualche modo la base aggiunge aria nella ciotola, aggiungendo un fantastico effetto calderone.Ci sono 2 sacchetti di polvere e si usa mezzo sacchetto alla volta. La polvere è cloruro di calcio e alginato di sodio per il gel. Quindi potrebbe essere usato molto più a lungo se si acquistano i materiali alla rinfusa.
