Digital Alarm Clocks for Bedrooms: Large Bold Number 5 Brightness Dimmer - Easy to Read Across The Room - 5 Alarm Sound 8 Night Light - Green

Since being diagnosed with macular degeneration a year ago, it was becoming more and more challenging to read the time on my current clock in the middle of the night. My long time alarm clock had large numbers, but they were red and my eyes couldn't adjust to the disappearing figures. This clock, with it's perfectly large sized illuminated numbers, offers a bright light that also serves as a night light (it's dimmable if you don't like it that bright). It's simple and easy to use. Setting up the time and alarm time is easy; every button is right on the front of the clock. There is a choice of 4 alarm sounds and a volume button. I love waking up to a soft chiming sound. The smaller size is perfect for my little end table and the connecting cord is small in diameter. The price is also awesome! I LOVE this clock!

This digital alarm clock is beatiful, easy to operate, and has a large, bold, easy to see number display. I ordered the green color because I wanted the green numbers. The body color is only very slightly greenish, and unless you compare it directly to other colors you would likely consider it to be a light gray. We usually have the nightlight set to blue becase the combination of the bright green numbers and the blue nightlight is very pretty! We chose this clock also because it is raised up a bit above tabletop level, and the face of the clock is angled upward slightly. This configuration minimizes reflections and helps to make it much more readable than most of the other alarm clocks that are out there. The easy-to-operate control buttons on the front are nice, too. It would be helpful if the print on each button was darker and bolder and a more readable font for those with less than perfect vision.

Nice clock. Especially for the price. The numbers are larger and brighter than I expected. I have trouble with my vision and I can see the time from across the room. Easy setup and the nightlight is a pleasant touch. To me, the most important feature is the accuracy of the time keeping. It is very accurate. The only negative is it doesn't have a date feature. But I can live without that. It was money well spent.

i love it! it's very practical and pretty, I love how the lights sort of move like waves under the clock. It's very simple to set up and it has various features. Great quality! Numbers are pretty clear and big, I use it in my private practice as Psychologist. I love it!

Nice clock. Love the Sakura pink color, the choices of alarm sounds, that I can turn down the alarm volume (especially when previewing and setting the specific alarm sound lol), and dim the backlight. Wish there was also a temperature reading and that there was one more dimmer setting, or one when you press the light dimmer button, as it's just too bright to use in my bedroom as an alarm clock. I have moved it to my office desk where I still find it really useful, enough to not return it, especially its large clock numerals, its cute Sakura pink color for decor, and the different colored night light settings it has (I like both the purple(?) and pink ones, but the rainbow ones are cool, too, along with the green and blue one). It also reminds me of my iMac, so looks adorable on my computer desk! If this clock could also work for you, given the caveats I have mentioned: RECOMMEND

Nice size. I like that there are so many options! Different color lighting. Different dimmers. Several alarm sounds. 12 or 24 hour clock.

I bought 2 more of these for my kids they are 10&13 and can easily use these for their alarms to go to the But in the morning. My 13 year old is on the spectrum and can’t easily use this and turning on and off the alarm. I love the display it is perfect for us to see and you can dim the lights if you are like me and have headaches and migraines easily. I love the quality of this clock you can use two AAA batteries and or a charging USB chord. Can easily change the time when time change comes around to change our clocks. Ease of set up My son also has hearing aids so you can adjust the volume on the alarm sounds 1-4 and I will say 3-4 can get loud but he really covers his ears for volume 4. we love volume 2-3 in the middle.

I was struggling to find a decent looking bedside clock on Amazon, where most of the cheaper options seemed like cheap throwaways bound for the landfill. I just wanted something that was easily legible, minimalist, and could adequately dim so as to not bother me while trying to fall asleep at night. This checks all the boxes, and then some. Although the clock itself does not take up much space and is quite compact and flat, the digits are relatively large format making the clock easy to read from across the room, while simultaneously not being too big to glance at while in bed. The segmented digits are large, sharp, and uniformly backlit (unlike the clock faces you'd expect from a cheap digital clock like a Timex) leading to an incredibly clear and sleek display. Though I wish it had an auto-dimming feature, the manual dimming control is quite functional. The large, top-mounted snooze button doubles as a dimmer switch. You simply cycle through to the desired brightness (there are five levels, and the 6th turns the display off completely). The lowest setting is incredibly dim, and does not bother me in the slightest when trying to fall asleep. The alarm itself is quite functional, with multiple tones to choose from and several volume levels. The loudest is REALLY loud, probably too loud--they even warn you in the manual to avoid this setting at first since you might get startled. But I guess this is good if you're the type of person who could sleep through a bomb going off. The extra ambient light strip on the bottom of the display is a nice touch if you have the clock in your office or something, but I find it a bit too annoying to keep on in the bedroom even on the lowest brightness (the light strip's brightness control is separate from the actual clock display, which is nice). You can set it to several static colors or set it to an animated rainbow cycle. You can turn it off completely if this isn't for you. Not sure what else needs to be said. USB powered, battery backup, extra USB port on the back for charging. It's well designed and feature packed for the price. edit: note: The battery is only there to maintain the time in memory if you move the clock or lose power. It must be plugged into a USB power source to display anything. Doesn't affect me, but should be something to be aware of.
