I’ve been using the Logitech G29 Driving Force Racing Wheel and pedals for about a dozen races so far, primarily with Gran Turismo 7 25th Anniversary Edition, and it has already completely transformed my racing game experience. Right out of the box, the build quality stands out. The leather-wrapped steering wheel feels premium in your hands, and the stainless steel paddle shifters add a solid, realistic touch. Everything feels sturdy and well-made—definitely not a cheap or toy-like setup. What really impressed me is the force feedback. You can actually feel the road, turns, and even subtle changes in traction, which makes gameplay incredibly immersive. It adds a level of realism that a standard controller just can’t match. The pedal set is another highlight. The brake pedal has progressive resistance that mimics real driving, which helps with better control and precision. After a little practice, it really improves lap times and overall driving consistency. That said, the pedal base is not bolted down, so depending on your floor surface, it may shift during play. Using it on carpet, against a wall, or with a dedicated racing setup helps keep it stable. Setup was straightforward, and it works seamlessly with my system. The compatibility with PlayStation and PC makes it a versatile option for different setups. One thing worth mentioning is the mounting system. The steering wheel uses only two points of contact, and I have had it come loose during more intense gameplay sessions. It’s not a dealbreaker, but I highly recommend securing it to a very sturdy desk or, even better, a dedicated racing rig to get the most out of it. It’s also worth noting that the wheel does not include a dedicated gear shifter, which would further enhance the overall experience. While the paddle shifters work well, adding an external shifter would make the setup feel even more realistic and complete. Having read up on it, I wasn't sure whether to buy this or wait for the new Fanatec DD thats due end of the year. But after hearing that it wont be supporting PS5 initially, I bit the bullet and ordered this. People talk about the gearing being notchy, and maybe it is compared to the high end ones, but having not used those I think this is great and can't feel it. It would be great if it was somehow wireless as there are a bunch of wires all over the place, but I guess technology isn't there yet. Paired with a racing seat (FGT Lite) its an amazing set up for not a lot of money. Highly recommended.
