Bought as a present and loved by the recipient.

A complete waste of money. Most of the so-called advice is either blatently obvious or insulting to the reader's intelligence. How on earth Debrett's can publish this, I cannot understand.

Very easy read, and written with a fun humor in a sense. Answered a few questions that I’ve always wondered about and gives a lot of great advise for things I never thought to consider.

Kindle版も出ているので内容だけ読みたければそちらでもよいし、小声で言えば「中身を見る」で全文読めるが(笑）紙媒体で買ってみたら、装丁の色が昔ながらのオックスフォードブルー、紙はちょっとザラついた昔風の紙質でモノとしての満足度が高かった。フォントと呼びたくないような活字も上品で、見返しや区切りページのオレンジ色など凝った作りで持っていて満足できる。デブレッツ社は創業1769年の本屋で、紳士録やエチケットガイドなどを出している。これは250周年記念でデジタル化、ネット化した現代のマナーを、ビアズリー的ウィットや風刺ではなくイギリス的ヒューモアで説明しており、手引き書としてのみならず、むしろ読み物として楽しい。「赤ちゃん」の項など、写真や動画をSNSに嬉々として投稿する新米ママ・パパに読んでもらいたいほど(笑)←Emojiについても一項割かれている。

Very interesting book. Unfortunately, it does not have a table of contents but provides very useful information on manners. Really allows you to do some self reflection on your own interactions in daily life.
