Whisper quiet, works exactly as advertised.
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. The Air 20 koi pond aerator works very well and is incredibly quiet as you can hear in my brief video attached. I appreciate the high quality materials and simplicity of it. But I'd rather look at my pond and my fish, rather than see an air hose that glares at you. There is room for improvement though, which is why I'm rating 4 stars: 1. Make the 6' power cord 15" long. 2. Change the light blue color of the air hose to black (why would anyone design it a light blue color?). 3. Most importantly, make that black hose heavier so it sinks in the water (why would you design it to float?). I'll look into buying a heavy black air hose that sinks in the meantime, just have to find the right inside diameter now...

Great Unless You Run It Part Time
Four star because the seal around the bottom of the aerator housing breached.I run this in a 1300 gal pond. I don't run it 24/7 and that's where the problem lies if you have algae (and who doesn't)Eventually the stone plugs with algae and the compressed air forces through the weakest point which is the RTV silicone seal on the inside bottom perimeter of the aerator housing. This forces out large, ugly, noisy bubbles instead of the nice fine bubbles.Other than that, this is a super pump and a high quality aerator stone - the best I could find.I would say to the company - you need to mechanically secure the bottom of the aerator housing to the upper part. The RTV sealant alone just won't hold it if there is any back pressure.

Performs as well as I hoped for
I have had this aerator all summer and part of winter in Colorado. My pond holds about 700 gallons and varies from 1 foot to 3 feet in depth. I keep this aerator in the shallow end and it produces sufficient bubbles to provide oxygen into the water. I also have a much more powerful aerator by Easy Pro called a Linear Diaphragm Compressor. I use this for the deeper end. The difference between the two is the Easy Pro produces more violent bubbles and therefore is more efficient for deeper depths. In winter the Easy Pro has always maintained an opening, even in -8 degrees. Whereas the Aquascape has frozen over in +6 degrees, meaning there was no opening. But, it still worked and created bubbles under the ice. If the goal is to maintain an opening in very cold weather, clearly the Aquascape has limitations. The other difference is that the Easy Pro creates much larger and more violent bubbles, whereas the Aquascape creates gentler smaller bubbles. Which means it is easier to see the fish with Aquascape. For me, they both have value. Depending on one's needs and climate the Aquascape may be perfect for you.

Survived complete submersion
Works beautifully, is quiet, my pond doesn't smell like sewage any more, and my fish are alive. Also, my pond flooded while we were out of town, and aerator was completely submerged for up to 12 days. I kept it next to my woodstove for a month, but every time I shook it I could hear water sloshing around inside. I decided to plug it in once before throwing it out...and it worked! Been back at the pond now for a few weeks, and no problems. I would highly recommend this aerator! UPDATE: As of January, 2018 still working perfectly :)

Great pump and diffuser, should include the Weighted Tubing
The pump looks high quality and puts out a lot of air while maintaining an acceptable noise level. What should really be improved is the included tubing. It comes with a bright blue/white one that floats.Even the included user manual mentioned that the appearance would be nicer with the Weighted Tubing that is being sold separately. Why not just include it even if it would raise the price by a few $$.

Overheated and stopped working.
Product stopped working within 24 hours (overheated and internal circuit shut it off). The pump started working again once it cooled down,, but would only continue to trip if I kept it.. 3rd party retailer took it back but charged a restocking fee since it "worked" when they tested it. I was replacing this exact pump in the same install location hat had worked continuously for 5 years, so hit or miss on the quality. I would definitely only buy from Amazon direct in the event it doesn't work. Ended up buying a smaller pump since the pro60 seemed like overkill for the pond and because of the quality issues.

Best Air Pump My Pond Has Ever Had. Fish & I are Totally Delighted.
Top quality and built like a tank. Expensive but well worth it. Would buy it again in a heartbeat. I could not have asked for more. I have a 1,000+ gal. pond 4 ft. deep so it requires a powerful pump to deliver the air needed. This pump is the best I have owned in over 10 years and could easily handle a pond 3 times my size and if it was not as deep as mine then possibly up to 5,000 gals. Only suggestion is consider the weighted air line, if you have to run the line out more than 10 ft. I just put a few weights and all is OK. Finally an instruction booklet that is simple, well written and easy to understand and that also goes for the warranty. Yahoo!!!

pond now clear
have 1000 gal pond with 4 water drops and 20 ft of stream. Live sw fl and algae was a huge issue, kept adding pond algaecide plus sludge destroyer and running through filter media, never seemed to get water completely clear to watch the fish, would cloud back up within days off adding chemicalsinstalled pond aerator and within a week the pond has completely cleared plus has stayed clear, the fish seem to like swimming through the bubblesi still add a maintenance dose of chemicals every other week but there is a obvious improvement since installing the aerator. It is quiet, produces amble bubbles plus it is weather proof, some units for sale are not, which makes little sense for a outdoor itemtime will tell if it lasts, but has a 3 year warranty so at this point, it has been excellent

Not as expected !
I have 2 systems like this as my pond has two independent basin with a small passage between them.I was expecting a high output compressor and aerator.Although the output is a 3/8" hose, the CFMs are not there.BTW, the supplied hose can easily kink. I changed it for the weighted hose sold on Amazon.ca.In my case, the aerator is in about 3.5' in the water and about 4' below the compressor. If the power goes out, it takes forever to the compressor to push out the water that got in the aerator and the hose.Once the air gets out, the flow is minimum. I have seen more air coming out of fish thank compressors and aerator than from this one.

Tol Quality
Great pump, top quality. I use mine for my pool to drop the alkalinity. Very effective in doing so. Lots and lots of bubbles. The hoses provided are very long, and the aerators are weighted enough to drop to bottom of pool will its running. I must mention that my pool is about 7.5 feet in the deep end, and this pump handles that depth very easily. Highly recommended

Works great
This unit has only been in my pond for about two weeks. We have already had some temperatures slightly below 0 C. with some ice forming in parts of the pond It clears about a 6 square foot area in the pond and provides plenty of bubbles. I'm happy to no longer need a heater.Previously I was using 2 fish tank bubblers and a pond heater.

One of the best Aerator
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. One the best pond Aerator! Initially I bought Pro Air 20, but tbat wasn't enough for my 10' x 15' x 4' Koi Pond. So returned that and upgraded to Pro air 60. Its very powerful. I don't use 24/7. I use it twice daily (noon and evening) for about an hour.No noice or vibration. Quick start and great pressure. My Koi, Goldfish and fry love it!

Quiet, effective bubbler
Easy to assemble, although the hose connections were a tight fit. Runs very quietly, but the compressor will make some vibration noise when not well supported. Other reviewers observed that the air hose floated, but we had no difficulty holding it at the bottom of the pond with a few rocks and gravel. Produces an attractive stream of bubbles that ensures our goldfish have the oxygen they need.
