We've become totally dependent on having a digital thermometer when cooking, especially chicken and fish. I wonder how we ever managed without them. Unfortunately, many we have owned had small, somewhat hard to see displays -- and worse, were fragile. Many broke after relatively short lifespans. This thermometer is larger, beefier, and has a large easy to read display. That the probe folds (like a pocketknife) reduces the overall length to less than most of the "small" thermometers. It also has a magnet built-in, a great feature. We keep it on the same magnetic wall strip that holds the cooking knives. I hope it lasts as long as it appears that it will.

I was doubtful that I would like a different thermometer or get used to another one after using mine for over a decade, but I was wrong. This thermometer is perfect! Purchased this meat thermometer a month ago. It works quickly and effectively when measuring the temperature when grilling.

This thermometer arrived a couple days before Thanksgiving - perfect timing, which pleases me because I bought it especially to manage the cooking of a turkey breast. Instructions are not too detailed but useful enough. And it is simple to use. I’m pleased with how very quickly the temperature appears and that the temperature screen is clear. However, one thing I do not like is that it is easier to be read by a righthander than a lefthander; as a “leftie” I find that awkward - the hand in which the thermometer is held. In a perfect world there would be left- and right-hand purchase options.

Nice feel, perfect brightness and size. Very durable. The thermometer reads the temperature of items very fast, even if you go between hot and cold items.

Highly reliable! Changed the game for cooking all meats in our house- even more accurate than our Traeger's built in thermometer which is... crazy, considering the price difference. Batteries are included- highly recommend.

Easy to use and very precise. In the beginning I have used another at the same time to compare and the temperature was the same. Small and doesn't use much space in the drawer. I recommend 👌.

this is a good meat thermometer to start off with, but it's slow and it bugs out often (the screen just shows "EEEEEE" instead of a temp reading). So after 2 years of using this multiple times per week, i'm now looking for a better quality one. I will keep this as a backup. But I definitely recommend getting a meat thermometer in general, it will change your life when it comes to cooking! Couldn't live without one now.
